Intern | Human Technopole, Milan Build the science that shapes the future of human health.Application closing date: ********** Join a place where ambitious science thrives Human Technopole (Milan) is a rapidly expanding life science institute where international researchers and cutting-edge technologies converge to accelerate biomedical discovery.Our mission is to transform bold scientific ideas into advances that improve human health.Within this mission, this internship is jointly hosted by the Giustacchini Group and the National Facility for Genome Engineering Disease Modelling.The Giustacchini Group investigates the mechanisms of therapy resistance and relapse in pediatric Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (pAML), with a specific focus on leukemic stem cells (LSCs).By integrating iPSC-derived organoids, functional assays, and single-cell multiomics approaches, the group aims to decode the interactions between LSCs and the immune microenvironment, refine risk stratification, and identify novel therapeutic strategies.The National Facility for Genome Engineering Disease Modelling contributes project-specific co-supervision and scientific support in human iPSC technologies and advanced stem-cell–derived disease models, particularly in 3D organoid development.We are seeking a highly motivated student eager to deepen their skills in cellular and molecular biology, with a strong interest in healthy and malignant hematopoiesis and human organoid cultures.Your mission You will partecipate to the establishment and characterization of iPSC-derived bone marrow organoids as advanced in vitro models to study novel therapeutic approaches for Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML).The project combines iPSC and organoid culture with flow cytometry, imaging, and functional assays to define the cellular composition and functionality of the organoids.The organoids will be engrafted with primary AML cells to investigate new therapeutic strategies in a complex in vitro setting.Essential What you ll bring Currently enrolled in a Master's Degree programme in Biology, Biotechnology, or a related discipline or being recently graduate in a Master s Degree related programme Good command of English to work effectively in an international research environment Preferred Previous experience with cell culture techniques (maintenance of cell lines, thawing/freezing, in vitro functional assays) At HT, your discoveries contribute to a global effort to improve human health.Why Human Technopole HT offers an international and dynamic workplace, competitive welfare provisions, flexible working policies and relocation support.Researchers moving to Italy may benefit from attractive tax benefits.We promote work–life balance and provide parental support initiatives.Submit How to apply CV Motivation letter (English) This is an opportunity for a 6 months- curricular or extrecurricular internship and will be carried out at Human Technopole, Milan, within our vibrant international campus.We strongly encourage applications from candidates belonging to protected categories (L. ***** ).The Foundation reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to extend, suspend, modify, revoke, or cancel this job posting without giving rise to any rights or claims whatsoever in favor of the candidates; the Foundation reserves, however, the right not to proceed with the awarding of the above-described assignment due to the effect of supervening regulatory provisions and/or obstructive circumstances.
