What impact will you make?Do you have a passion to work for global clients of Deloitte Tax and transform their current state of tax to the next generation of tax functions?Are you ready to take the next step in your career to find new methods and processes to assist clients in improving their tax operations?Are you ready to fulfill your potential and want to have a significant impact to global initiatives?If the answer to all of the above is "Yes," come join Tax Technology Consulting group in Bologna, Padova or FlorenceAt Deloitte , we are leading clients through the tax technology transformation taking place in the marketplace.We offer a broad range of fully integrated tax services and add greater impact to clients by combining technology and tax technical resources to uncover insights and smarter solutions for navigating an increasingly complex global environment.Work you'll do We are looking for innovative Tax and Technology professionals that are looking to broaden their careers by supporting our clients to transform their tax functions and respond to excise taxes and other environmental taxes that are emerging.As you build your career with us to become an innovative Tax ERP and Tax Technology professional you will be helping our clients to design, develop and implement systems architecture that best meets their business needs, in the rapidly changing tax and legal landscape.Your role will entail gathering the requirements for designing and implementing ERP solutions (e.g. SAP, Oracle etc.) or other tax technology solutions to help our clients to meet their excise tax requirements and/or other emerging environmental taxes (such as plastic and packaging taxes, carbon taxes, sugar taxes etc.) You will be working alongside an experienced and growing team, in what is a once in lifetime opportunity to support our clients in ensuring that they have the right data, business processes and systems set-up for the future.Key responsibilities - üEvaluating the client's tax and business requirements to build the optimal Excise Tax and/or environmental taxes design within the ERP and surrounding tax technology landscape üDesign, build and integrate excise and/or environmental tax requirements and processes into the ERP and wider tax technology design to meet clients' requirements üAssess systems architecture (ERP and other tax systems) currently in place and work with technical staff to recommend solutions (ERP or alternative solutions) to improve it or fill the gap üAssess business impact of functional and technical choices made, and help resolve technical problems as and when they arise üDevelop/ maintain good working relationships with key client and internal stakeholders and keep them informed of challenges/ risks/ issues with technical solutions being implemented üProvide regular updates to key stakeholders on product development processes, costs and budgets, achievements against plan etc.üContinually research current and emerging technologies (SAP, Oracle or others) and propose changes as part of Deloitte's Tax ERP Value Proposition Qualification and Experience Required – üMBA or Chartered Accountant or Bachelor's in Finance/Accounts from reputedUniversity with overall experience in Finance, Accounting and/or Taxation ü3-4 years of Experience in Excise Tax, and/or environmental taxes (such as plastic and packaging taxes, carbon taxes, sugar taxes etc.) üHands on experience and proven skills in ERP (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics etc.) and tax technology solutions üProven experience in Tax, ERP and Tax Technology solution architecture design üExperience of project methodologies – Agile, Waterfall, etc. and how tax engine deployment fits in each one.üExperience with ERP migration process.üExperience of ERP Functional specification document for tax enhancements, and functional configuration document üExperience of Order to Cash, Procure to Pay and Intercompany scenarios testing and setting up required master data requirements üExperience of creating and preparing demos and ad-hoc slides for a range of audiences at clients.üEfficient communication and stakeholder management skills üStrong desire to learn new skills and technology üAbility to work under own initiative and manage variety of stakeholders üExperience working with a variety of people within a dynamic, fast changing environment as part of a multi-functional team/project üExcellent project management skills, able to work under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy in work and attention to detail The Team Tax Technology Consulting (TTC) – Deloitte's Tax Technology Consulting Team (TTC) has a market leading reputation; bringing together a unique blend of consulting, technology, tax technical and tax reporting experience to help businesses meet the challenges of multi-jurisdictional tax operations, including compliance, reporting, tax technology and tax risk management.
