Mechanical Field Service Engineer Reciprocating Compressor Join to apply for the Mechanical Field Service Engineer Reciprocating Compressor role at Baker HughesAs a Mechanical Field Service Engineer Reciprocating Compressor you will be the first point of contact for our global customers on-site.You will be responsible for leading activities, people and HSE compliance to a high standard and developing your product knowledge and technical skills in a dynamic, innovative environment.ResponsibilitiesProviding technical direction for site activities to internal teams and skilled labour to ensure safety, compliance and quality.Overseeing overhaul, troubleshooting and commissioning of Reciprocating Compressor products at customer sites.Leading in customer and contractor meetings to share and update action plans and to advise on technical solutions.Ensuring internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed and completed according to company standards.QualificationsGood working knowledge of the installation and maintenance of rotating equipment.Experience working in a mechanical role in an energy or oil and gas environment (or similar).Strong knowledge of Reciprocating Compressor installation/maintenance philosophy.Impressive customer service orientation and experience leading customers through tough decisions.Skilled at communicating complex technical information to customers and teams with varying levels of technical understanding.Deep awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and potential risks.Motivated self-starter, able to make key decisions and innovate solutions.Excellent command and understanding of verbal and written English.EU Passport or a European Work permit.Extensive travel: willing and able to travel significantly (not less than 70%) without geographical restriction, including offshore.Flexible WorkingTravel to and work on customer sites in line with customer requirements.Duration of on-site work and hours are determined by customer needs.In between assignments, free time is available in line with Baker Hughes working-time guidelines and fatigue-management provisions.About Baker HughesWe are an energy technology company that provides solutions to energy and industrial customers worldwide.Built on a century of experience and operating in over 120 countries, our innovative technologies and services are moving energy forward – making it safer, cleaner and more efficient for people and the planet.Equal Opportunity StatementBaker Hughes Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by law.Job ID: R******#J-*****-Ljbffr
