Overview Our Client is looking for FPGA Design Engineers to work in their Research and Development Department, which is actively involved in the field of optical communications for satellite applications, in partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Italian Space Agency (ASI).The candidates will support the design, realisation and operation of a new test-facility aiming at assessing and certifying the interoperability of Optical Communication Terminal Payloads.Responsibilities- Design and validate High-Speed Modems and DSP blocks (>100 Gb/s)- Conduct test-campaigns following relevant standards- Active participation in international standardisation committeesQualifications and Experience- Strong passion for the development of new technologies- Degree in Telecommunication Engineering or Computer Science- Knowledge of High-Speed Serial-Transceiver Designs in FPGA- PhD in relevant fields is appreciated, but not mandatory- "Problem Solving" attitude, autonomy and "pro-activity"- Willingness to learn new tools and methodologiesLocationThese are full time permanent positions in Livorno, Italy.There is an option for these to be contract positions.Applicants must hold all appropriate documentation and permits to work in the EU.Employment Offer- Competitive Salary (based on the previous experience)- A stimulating position, and the opportunity to work in autonomy- The opportunity to work in a unique test-facility environment in Europe- A professional growth opportunityWe are looking for candidates to start immediately.Apply now to begin your next exciting space career in Italy.For further information about this position please Contact us and we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.#J-*****-Ljbffr
