Consultant FPGA Design Engineer Our Client is looking for a Consultant FPGA Design Engineer to work in their Research and Development Department, which is actively involved in the field of optical communications for satellite applications, in partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Italian Space Agency (ASI).The Consultant will support the design, realisation and operation of a new test-facility aiming at assessing and certifying the interoperability of Optical Communication Terminal Payloads.Responsibilities- Design and validate High-Speed Modems and DSP blocks (>100 Gb/s)- Conduct test-campaigns following relevant standards- Active participation in international standardisation committeesQualifications and Experience- Strong passion for the development of new technologies- Degree in Telecommunication Engineering or Computer Science- Typically 10+ years' experience- Knowledge of High-Speed Serial-Transceiver Designs in FPGA- Coding and data handling experience- "Problem Solving" attitude, autonomy and "pro-activity"- Team leadership- Willingness to learn new tools and methodologiesLocationThis is a contract position based in Livorno, Italy.There is flexibility for on-site/Remote/Hybrid working.Applicants must hold all appropriate documentation and permits to work in the EU.Employment Offer- A stimulating challenge, and the opportunity to work in autonomy- The opportunity to work in a unique test-facility environment in Europe- Remote/Hybrid working optionsWe are looking for the Consultant to start immediately.Apply now for this exciting consulting opportunity in Italy.For further information about this position pleaseContact us and we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.#J-*****-Ljbffr
