Position:Senior Technical Director – Waste to Energy PlantsCompany:GKSD Green SolutionsWork Location:Libya – Benghazi (with traveling to Milan)Project BackgroundGKSD Green Solutions is involved in the development of a major international project for the construction of aWaste to Energy plant in Benghazi, Libya, aimed at energy recovery from waste and the improvement of local environmental management.To strengthen the project team, GKSD Green Solutions intends to initiate the selection of aSenior Technical Directorwith proven experience in the delivery of complex industrial plants, with specific expertise in the Waste to Energy sector.Role DescriptionThe Senior Technical Director will be responsible for thetechnical and economic management of the project (time, cost, quality, risk), coordinating all phases from preliminary and detailed engineering through construction and start-up of the plant.The role involves close coordination with GKSD Green Solutions'Management, international suppliers, and local counterparts, ensuring compliance with project schedule, budget, plant performance/quality, and safety requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesOverall project management acrossengineering, procurement, construction, and commissioningphasesCoordination of external engineering teams and management of engineering activities (process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil)Support on the management of interfaces with the Client, consultants, local authorities, and partnersResponsible for planning, monitoring and controlling of project schedule, project costs, work progress, project budget, and cash flowSupervision of engineering and on construction activitiesOversight of procurement activities and international supply chainManagement and coordination of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors during constructionEnsuring compliance with applicable technical, environmental, and safety regulationsSupervision of HSE activities on siteSupport to pre-commissioning, commissioning, and final handover of the plantReporting on technical and economic data to GKSD Green Solutions managementCandidate RequirementsDegree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Energy, Environmental, or equivalent)Proven experience as Technical Director in the design and construction ofwaste to energy plants, power generation plants, or complex industrial facilitiesDemonstrated experience in managingEPC / EPCM projectsin international environmentsStrong technical background, with the ability to review and manage technical documentation, project schedules, cost control reports and risk register / matricesExcellent command of the English languageKnowledge of the Arabic languagewill be considered a strong assetAbility to operate effectively in multicultural environmentsWillingness to relocatein Libya and the Middle EastStrong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skillsLocation and MobilityThe primary work location will beBenghazi, with traveling to Milan during both the engineering, construction and start-up phases of the plant.ConclusionThe selection is aimed at ahighly senior professionalcapable of representing GKSD Green Solutions in a strategic international project and contributing decisively to the technical and operational success of the initiative.The selected candidate may also be involved insimilar development projects in Europe and the MENA region.
