About the HotelMandarin Oriental, Milan is an intimate, stylish hotel located on Via Andegari, 104 guestrooms including 36 suites, steps from La Scala, in four 18th-century buildings.The hotel offers a two-Michelin-starred restaurant, a chic garden dining area, and a comprehensive spa with indoor pool and private treatment rooms.The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is the award-winning owner and operator of luxurious hotels, resorts, and residences worldwide, combining legendary Asian-heritage service with cutting-edge luxury experiences.About the JobBased at the Mandarin Oriental, Milan within the Events Department, the Events Manager is responsible for groups and events sales and operations and reports to the Hotel Manager.ResponsibilitiesSupport the company's philosophy and culture through the Pillars of Legendary Quality Experiences, ensuring guest satisfaction and achievement of our mission statement.Carry out site visits in accordance with company standards.Take a sales-oriented approach for every lead, customizing offers and maintaining a luxury, positive attitude.Conduct weekly group/event meetings with the team and other departments.Generate banquet event orders, group resumes, and business correspondence.Maintain an active trace system for all assigned groups and compile the internal database, ensuring time efficiency and data accuracy per MO policies.Obtain necessary approvals, permits, and insurance certificates for required events.Contract business with approved vendors as appropriate.Develop sales-team training courses based on current performance.QualificationsMinimum 5+ years of experience in groups, events, catering, and conference services management or event management, preferably in a luxury hotel setting and with knowledge of Milan F&B.Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and Italian.Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accomplish all major responsibilities.Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Strong team-leader capabilities.BenefitsLearning & development programmes tailored to career stage, fostering continuous growth.MOstay programme offering complimentary nights and attractive rates for you and your loved ones worldwide.Health and colleague wellness programmes across the global workforce.Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.Meals available at the Employee Restaurant.We're fans—are you?Privacy policy for processing personal data:Seniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Management and ManufacturingIndustries: Hospitality#J-*****-Ljbffr
