About Proxima (formerly VantAI)Proxima is building a computational pipeline combining state-of-the-art physics-based modeling and machine learning to revolutionize drug discovery and development.Working together with some of the world's leading biopharmaceutical companies, we design, test, and optimize novel therapies to treat some of the world's most difficult diseases.Job BriefWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee our collaboration projects with our biopharmaceutical partners, as well as internal R&D pipelines.As Senior Project Manager, you will be strongly hands-on and involved in day-to-day operations, as well as responsible for maintaining control of diverse and scientifically complex business operations.We expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader with sufficient experience in the technology and life sciences domains.This position will require you to have excellent people skills, business acumen, and an exemplary work ethic, but most importantly, you must be capable of helping functional leaders prioritize across many competing initiatives and projects.The goals of this position are to maximize the speed and quality with which Proxima develops novel and innovative medicines, to keep client projects on track, and to ensure extensive and sustainable growth towards company milestones.Key ResponsibilitiesLead cross-functional teams to ensure successful launches of collaboration projectsAlign with external partners on project objectives, timelines and deliverablesPartner with project leaders to define scope, develop project plans and timelines, monitor and communicate project progress to stakeholdersProactively manage project schedules, identify risks and help solve issues in a timely mannerFacilitate meetings, prepare meeting agendas and meeting minutesFoster effective communication and collaboration amongst various partiesManage project documentation and ensure complianceDevelop and implement project management best practicesPlay an alliance manager role, building and maintaining relationships between internal team members and external partnersRequirementsB.S./M.S. in Life Science(s), Computer Science, Computational Chemistry, Computational Biology, Engineering, Business or related fieldsDemonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams including Biology, Chemistry, Comp Bio, Comp Chem, Software Engineering and Machine LearningAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing demands5-10 years of work experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical environment1-3 years in a project management roleFamiliar with drug development pipelines and experience managing collaborations with external partnersKnowledge of project management tools and methodologies (PM certification is a plus)Salary: $140,000 - $185,000This band is a reflection of the job description as written.Looking for a higher salary?Apply anywayWe are happy to speak to more experienced candidates who may require a higher salary and discuss that experience in our first touchpoint.#J-*****-Ljbffr
