Alpinestars is the leading global performance motorsports apparel, protection and footwear manufacturer.For over 60 years the company has been providing the world's best athletes and motorsports enthusiasts in the pursuit of performance excellence with the most technologically advanced products which fuse protection, performance, innovation and style.Thanks to the outstanding quality and continuous innovation of our products, we are currently going through a solid expansion phase on the global market, for which we aim to reinforce our strongly international teams with top talent from anywhere in the world.PositionWe are currently looking for a skilled Testing Laboratory & Certification Specialist – Apparel & Gloves to join the Testing Laboratory team and work very closely with our R&D team.In this position, you will be responsible of the end-to-end product certification process, and so to ensure compliance with CE, UKCA and other related standards, you will also monitor apparel and gloves product testing.You will be in charge of the redaction of certification related technical documentation, coordinating closely with the R&D and compliance teams, as well as with the related Notified Bodies.Main responsibilitiesYou will thoroughly analyse all certification requirements for any new project in close collaboration with the R&D team, defining all material specifications and needed testing.You will monitor and update the CE / UKCA certification status so to align with R&D timelines, maintaining regular communication with the Notified Bodies.You will be entrusted with the redaction and timely submission of all necessary technical documentation for the certification processes, ensuring that all certification related files and systems are up-to-date and compliant within the set deadlines.You will monitor both physical and mechanical testing on finished products, as well as manage and document all certification related test results on our database.You will coordinate with the Quality and Compliance teams for OEM-specific testing and regulatory requirements.You will be in charge of updating and maintaining EU / UKCA declaration portals, as well as the AS400 system and of inserting all projects quotations into the ROE system.You will also provide technical support to R&D with regards to any special request such as tenders and / or legal interpretations.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Quality Assurance and / or related technical fields.A minimum of 7 years' experience in product testing, certification processes and / or compliance within the Apparel, PPE or glove manufacturing industries.Previous hands 'on experience with CE marking, UKCA certification and in working closely with Notified Bodies will be an absolute must-have.Familiarity with ISO standards, EN norms, related technical documentation and certification systems for regulated products (e. g., AS400, ROE and EU / UKCA portals).Previous exposure to physical and mechanical testing of textile and PPE products will be a strong asset.Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and familiarity with data entry, reporting and database management.Excellent level of both oral and written English is mandatory, particularly with regards to the redaction of technical writing and documentation practices.Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally (from internal teams to external certification bodies and suppliers), managing multiple projects at the same time whilst also meeting tight deadlines.Other informationLocation : Italy, Asolo (TV)#J-*****-Ljbffr
