About ITT:ITT is a leading manufacturer of critical components for harsh environments that serves fast-growing end markets in flow, aerospace and defense, energy and transportation.Building on our heritage of innovation, we partner with our customers to deliver solutions to the key industries that underpin our modern way of life.Headquartered in Stamford, CT, we have more than 11,700 employees globally with operations in ~40 countries and sales in more than 125.At our core is our engineering DNA, with 1,280+ engineers, 1,700+ active global patents and ~51 manufacturing locations.Our businesses are organized in three distinct segments, each based around our core engineering DNA:Industrial Process: A global leader in centrifugal and twin-screw pumps and engineered valves for chemical, energy, mining, and industrial applications.Our leading brands include the iconic Goulds Pumps (with more than 175 years of history), Bornemann, Habonim, Engineered Valves, Rheinhütte Pumpenand Svanehøj.Motion Technologies: A global leader in brake pads (ICE and electrified brake pads) and shock absorbers (energy absorption solutions) for transportation applications.Our leading brands include Friction Technologies, KONIand Axtone.Connect and Control Technologies: A leader in critical applications for the aerospace, defense and industrial markets, including harsh environment connectors and control components.Our leading brands include ITT Cannon, Enidine, Aerospace Controlsand k SARIA.Position SummaryPosition Summary:This role is responsible for the profitable expansion of the assigned product lines.The overall goal will be growing ITT Connectors opportunity funnel, market share and revenues while improving reach to new customers and projects.The selected candidate will develop and implement product and pricing strategies, provide technical product support, application assistance and product training to the sales team.The incumbent will manage pricing and product rationalization activities, champion new products and perform product portfolio analysis.In addition, the incumbent will be a liaison between Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service.Essential ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute product development strategy for the assigned product linesDevelop and execute strategies to drive growth, retention and profitability and optimize market penetrationIdentify new product opportunities and drive NPI activities for Customer-Specific solutions, leading cross functional teamsPartner with Engineering in converting the product roadmaps into new concepts and productsResearch market conditions to determine potential sales of product; Collect and analyzes data to evaluate existing and potential product marketEnsure understanding of customer applications and proactively drive and support sales in promoting and designing-in ITT Connector solutionsDevelop key business contacts within the industry and maintains active communication with key customers and distributors.Remain cognizant of all pertinent competitive activities, including technical developments and market share data and perform competitive and market attractiveness analysis.Oversee proposal preparation, pricing establishment and large quotation activities.Partner in advertising, trade shows, and sales promotion programs and other industry activities.Partner in the strategy and execution of product launches, including the development of content for the Marketing Communications materials.Key Performance Metrics:Product Portfolio Strategy and RoadmapNew Product Opportunity funnel and project winsNew Product Sales for the assigned product linesNew business winsProduct Line orders, POS sales and standard marginKey customer engagement at engineering levelPrice realization for the assigned product linesProduct portfolio optimization and cost reduction initiativesPosition RequirementsSkills, Experience & Qualifications:Economic and/or technical background, preferred with a Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree.Connector market experience (5+ years) will be considered in lieu of degree3+ years of product-related or technical experiencein technical businesses (ideally connectors)Strong understanding of connector technologies for harsh environment applicationsExperience in working with cross functional teams to develop pricing and proposalsMust have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse and global employees, including the ability to motivate, energize, manage, and develop performance of other staff membersChampions the process of change and promotes a culture of quick adaptation while fostering change managementStrong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines.Proactive approach to Planning, organization capabilities and problem resolution.Has strong organizational and leadership skills to enable him/her to drive performance and deliver results.Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with business plansStrong ability to present technically complex concepts in a way to foster understanding and acknowledgement of critical informationCustomer-facing skillsAbility to travel periodically (up to 30%)The proficiency with MS Office is required
