Business Development Director – Renewable Energy EPC (Italy) Location: Home-based, anywhere in Italy Sector: Solar PV & Battery Energy Storage (BESS) Company: Leading Global EPC Provider About the Company Our client is a major multinational EPC provider delivering full engineering, procurement, and construction services across the solar PV and BESS sectors .With a strong and established presence across EMEA , they are now poised to expand their operations into the Italian market - one of the most dynamic renewable energy markets in Europe.This is a unique opportunity to build and lead the company's growth in Italy from the ground up, supported by a highly experienced international business unit and backed by a global brand with a proven track record in delivering complex renewable energy projects.The Role As the Business Development Director for Italy , you will be the first person on the ground , responsible for establishing and expanding the company's EPC footprint across the country.Working closely with the Business Unit Director (based abroad), you will identify opportunities, develop partnerships, and secure new EPC projects within the PV and BESS markets .You will play a key strategic role in shaping the company's Italian business - from initial market entry through to full commercial delivery.Key Responsibilities Lead business development and market entry strategy for EPC services in Italy (PV & BESS).Identify, pursue, and secure new EPC contracts with developers, IPPs, and investors.Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the renewable energy sector.Collaborate with the international EPC and engineering teams to ensure project success.Represent the company at industry events and within key professional networks.Establish the company's local presence and help build a small, high-performing local team over time.Required Experience & Qualifications Italian national with fluent English (both written and spoken).Proven track record in EPC business development within Italy.Strong background in renewable energy , specifically solar PV and BESS .Deep understanding of the Italian energy market, permitting processes, and key stakeholders.Entrepreneurial mindset - comfortable with building a business presence from the ground up.Excellent commercial, negotiation, and leadership skills.Why Join?Be part of a global EPC leader with world-class technical and financial backing.Pioneer the company's presence in one of Europe's fastest-growing renewable markets.Enjoy autonomy and influence from day one.Long-term rewards and career progression as the Italian business grows and succeeds.Interested?If you're ready to take on a leadership role where you can make a lasting impact on Italy's renewable energy landscape, we'd love to hear from you.
