RINA is currently recruiting for a Construction Safety Engineer to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Civil Engineering Division.MissionThe role focuses on ensuring the safety of construction operations in the infrastructure environment, such as the construction site's safety processes, equipment, workers, and more, in cooperation with the Principal Engineer.Key AccountabilitiesIdentify, assess and mitigate safety construction risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.Ensure all construction activities comply with applicable local, state, and federal safety regulations and company policies.Conduct regular site inspections, identify potential hazards, develop and drive implementation of corrective actions, and prepare technical reports.Assist in developing project-specific safety plans, risk assessments, and method statements.Investigate accidents and near misses, report findings, and recommend preventive measures.Verify safety training for construction personnel, subcontractors, and stakeholders.Verify or develop emergency response plans for each construction site.Perform or verify risk assessments for various construction activities and propose control measures.Verify proper use, maintenance, and availability of safety equipment and PPE.Provide direct day-to-day support and oversight of project elements.Team-work and assist engineers or engineering teams on construction sites.Develop project schedules and deliverable timelines under supervision.Prepare or verify technical deliverables and progress reports.Ensure all activities are executed in accordance with RINA QMS.EducationBachelor's Degree in Construction and Environment or Civil Engineering.ExperienceProven experience in construction safety management, with a track record of identifying, assessing, and mitigating safety risks on construction sites.Experience in developing and implementing safety programs and conducting safety training is required.KnowledgeThorough understanding of relevant safety regulations and industry standards such as OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, etc.Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and equipment.Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and emergency response procedures.Good level in speaking, listening, and writing.Have a big picture view of different situations and interpret them from a new perspective.Forge trust relationships across departments and outside the organization.Embrace internal and external client needs and expectations for maximum satisfaction.Take everyone's opinion into account and remain open to diversity.Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources, and constraints.Recognise one's and other's emotions and express and regulate one's reactions.Actively embrace change and benefit from new circumstances.Promote sustainable development by keeping promises as a role model.Capitalize on experiences and translate them into action plans for the future.Seniority level: Associate | Employment type: Full-time | Job function: Management and Manufacturing | Industries: Mechanical Or Industrial Engineering, Environmental Services, and Information Technology & Services.At RINA, we endeavor to create a work environment where every single person is valued and encouraged to develop new ideas.We provide equal employment opportunities and are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels respected and safe from discrimination or harassment of any kind.We are also compliant with the Italian Law n.*****.#J-*****-Ljbffr
