Overview 3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.A Joint Venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), Thales Alenia Space is a global space manufacturer delivering, for more than 40 years, high-tech solutions for telecommunications, navigation, Earth Observation, environmental management, exploration, science and orbital infrastructures.Thanks to our diversity of skills, talents and cultures, our customers (governments, institutions, space agencies, telecommunications operators), therefore have Space to Connect, Secure & Defend, Observe & Protect, Explore, Travel & Navigate.We are looking for a Power Subsystem Engineer .Responsibilities Perform detailed analyses on power sources (solar array, battery or DC power from other modules) to assess the correctness of sizing considering age and degradation due to single failure and compute relevant performance evaluation.Define power system architecture from received requirements from source to users.Define performance, interface and test requirements for the power system, power sources, and users.Specify and review technical documentation as Subsystem/Unit like applicable standards technical specification, Technical Notes/Analysis, Test Specification and report.Manage and/or participate to technical meetings with subcontractor and/or clients.Participate to design review with customers and supplier as needed.Support failure analysis and support in solution identifications during the unit development and subsystem / Spacecraft integration phases.Qualifications Master Degree in Electronics or Aerospace engineering or equivalent with Power specialization.At least 5 years of experience in at least one of the following areas:Design of Power unit or electronic unit for power regulation.System or subsystem power architect.Deep knowledge of:MS Office package (Word, Excel, Access)scientific tools and SW like Matlab/Simulink, MathCad, Visual Basic.Knowledge of English is mandatory.Available for short business trips in Italy or abroad.Additional Information At Thales Alenia Space we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.With Thales Alenia Space employing around 8,900 employees in 10 countries with 17 sites in Europe and a plant in the US, our mobility policy enables employees each year to develop their careers at home and abroad.Thales Alenia Space sees space as a new horizon, helping to build a better, more sustainable life on Earth #SpaceForLife.Great journeys start here, apply now#J-*****-Ljbffr
