Job Description Are you looking to gain and grow your experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety, if so, we need youJabil in Florence, KY is seeking someone to join their team as an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Engineer/Specialist.The EHS Engineer/Specialist will establish and promote the maintenance of a safe, accident-free, healthy work environment compliant with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.They will also develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and employee communications regarding safety guidelines.This position is full-time on-site in Florence, KY, with occasional travel (under 5%) to other sites for training opportunities.The position may include working within the framework of 3 facilities.A $5,000 Sign-On Bonus is offered to external candidates.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAbility to use knowledge of OSHA standards to Adopt, Develop, and Implement the general safety policies and procedures to be followed by company personnel in compliance with local, state, regional, and national safety and health rules and regulations.Knowledge of but not limited to Hazardous Waste Generator and DOT requirements, LOTO, PIT, Walking and Working Surfaces, PPE, Electrical Safety, Material Movement, HAZCOM, and Ergonomics.Train employees in safe workplace practices.Ability to form relationships with partner departments and Leadership to facilitate a proactive EHS environment within the facility.Consults with all departments on design and use of equipment, fire prevention, and safety programs.Ability to recognize hazards and recommend corrective or preventative measures where indicated.Facilitates Change Management within the facilities for EHS.Lays out manufacturing workspace to optimize a safe working environment.Formulates appropriate safety policies and guidelines.Inspects or tours facilities to detect existing or potential accidents and health hazards.Recommends corrective or preventative measures where indicated.Keeps managers and employees alerted about the hazards of working with toxic fumes, dangerous chemicals, and other hazardous substances.Develops training programs and communications to increase proficiency in safe practices and promote safety consciousness.Participates in accident/injury investigations.Maintains safety files, systems, and records.Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSA Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related discipline is required.Minimum of 2 years of related Health/Safety manufacturing experience preferred OR an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to lead meetings and present during those meetings.Recent OSHA 30 Certification is preferred.BENEFITS WITH JABILAlong with growth, stability, and the opportunity to be challenged, Jabil offers a competitive benefits package that includes:Medical, Dental, Prescription Drug, and Vision Insurance with HRA and HSA options401K matchEmployee Stock Purchase PlanPaid Time OffTuition ReimbursementLife, AD&D, and Disability InsuranceCommuter BenefitsEmployee Assistance ProgramPet InsuranceAdoption AssistanceAnnual Merit IncreasesCommunity Volunteer OpportunitiesJabil, including its subsidiaries, is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.Accessibility Accommodation#J-*****-Ljbffr
