Location: Naples Campania ItalyJob Schedule: Full timeRemote: NoAbout UsA career at Hitachi Rail will help create a legacy.With operations in every corner of the world our work goes to the cutting-edge of digital transformation and technology.From the multi-cultural strength of our global organisation to the sustainable and innovative ways we work, we bring people together and there's something for everyone to get involved in.And that's where you come in.Job DescriptionHitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Materials Management Technician who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.The successful candidate will be comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administration to strategy.The position is based in Naples, Italy.AccountabilitiesEnsure the issuance of an estimate of total external costs for highly complex tenders.Plan and forecast external costs (materials, services, packages, subcontractors) during the project execution phase in collaboration with the cost control office.Provide all supply-chain inputs necessary to define and issue the integrated project plan.Issue and distribute planning and logistics documents (Logistics Plan, MPS, Inventory Report, etc.) to project teams.Coordinate all planning and logistics activities between legal entities involved in the project to ensure delivery of project materials (including spare parts and repair of failed materials) in line with project requirements.Manage production launch activities (transfer orders, purchase orders, advance demand, etc.) in line with project planning.Issue purchase requests for all materials, external services, packages and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.Ensure issuance of supplier logistics and supply planning documentation in line with contractual requirements (Performance Guarantee, Transport Plan, Procurement Plan, Manufacturing Plan, etc.).Monitor and report supplier performance (including logistics suppliers) in terms of production FAT delivery times, shipping, warehouse management and compliance with contractual requirements.Identify and implement mitigation actions in case of risks or misalignments with supplier performance (e.g. delays in FAT or deliveries).Desired Skills / KnowledgeMinimum experience in Supply ChainProject managementSupplier managementPurchasing and planning methodsVendor rating and supplier monitoringTechnical and technological knowledgeRisk managementContinuous improvementDocumentation management (MPS, MRP techniques)Cost control and budgeting basicsLogistics and warehouse managementKnowledge of organisation and business processesEducation / QualificationsDegree in Management Engineering (or equivalent)LanguagesEnglish language proficiency: minimum B2 levelKey SkillsShipping & Receiving, Order Management System, Inventory Control, Microsoft Access, Forklift, SAP, Supply Chain Experience, Warehouse Experience, Materials Handling, Supplier Management, Materials Management, MRPWe welcome and value differences in background, age, gender, sexuality, family status, disability, race, ethnicity, religion and worldview.It is our commitment to create an inclusive environment – we are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.Employment Type: Full-TimeExperience: yearsVacancy: 1#J-*****-Ljbffr
