Position Title Visitor Relations Associate Job Description The Visitor Relations Associate oversees and enhances the day-to-day hospitality efforts at the Welcome Desk in the Miller Family Visitors' Center located at the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes.This position performs receptionist and customer service duties for our visitors and staff.Responsibilities include answering phones, entering pertinent donor information into forms, inputting contact information, and answering visitor questions.This position directly reports to the Associate Director.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide friendly, effective customer service and information to all guestsGreet visitors with a smile, say "hello" and offer to answer any questions they may haveAnswer phones in a friendly manner, assist with the visitor's question or direct them to another associate who can helpServe as a resource in providing visitors attraction information such as history, highlights and location details of the National Shrine Grotto, Mount St. Mary's University and local restaurantsCoordinate in collaboration with the volunteers, security, custodial, and other applicable departments to maintain facility and visitor needs; monitoring the main lobby, surrounding areas and restroomsAssist visitors needs with candle orders and Mass enrollmentsHave ownership of the Welcome Desk by ensuring it is neat, organized and clean in appearanceCommunicationsEnter data into CRM system such as emails, prayer requests, visitor sign-ins and testimonialsJob Requirements: Education, Experience and SkillsMinimum of two years of related experienceExceptional written and interpersonal communication skillsExceptional organizational skillsAbility to maintain composure and flexibility in stressful, deadline driven situationsResourcefulness, attention to detail and follow-throughAbility to manage and organize multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentProven ability to work both independently, and as part of a team with results oriented approachStrong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft OfficeAbility to be persistent in tasksAbility to give substantial feedback on given responsibilitiesIn-depth knowledge of Roman Catholic faith, with its cultures and structure, and activitiesSalary/Hours/BenefitsMinimum Pay Rate: $*****/hour40 hours per week: Sunday–Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Employee BenefitsThis is a full-time position with full benefits and annual, holiday and sick leave.The university offers a generous benefits package, including tuition remission for graduate and undergraduate classes at Mount St. Mary's University, retirement program with a match as well as a generous paid time off schedule.For a complete list of employee benefits please visit: National Shrine Grotto Information- Mission StatementThe National Shrine Grotto is a Catholic shrine devoted to our Blessed Mother, Mary, and serves as a place of worship, pilgrimage, evangelization, and reconciliation.The means of salvation are to be supplied more abundantly to the faithful by the diligent proclamation of the word of God, the suitable promotion of liturgical life, especially through the celebration of the Eucharist and penance, and the cultivation of approved forms of popular piety.The National Shrine Grotto is to specially foster the unique contribution of the geographical area of its location to the founding of the Catholic Church in the United States of America.Full Time/Part TimeFull time#J-*****-Ljbffr
