About the RoleOur client, a global organisation within the renewable energy sector, is seeking an experienced Overseas Sales Director to support business growth across Europe, with a primary focus on Italy.This position will play a critical role in expanding regional market presence, driving revenue growth, and strengthening long-term customer partnerships within the photovoltaic and energy storage markets.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement regional sales strategies for Europe, with specific ownership of the Italian market, including annual and quarterly target planning, execution tracking, and performance optimisation.Drive sales performance across key indicators such as revenue, shipment volume, and collections, while identifying and developing high-potential customers and distribution partners.Build, maintain, and expand strategic relationships with key clients, EPCs, distributors, and stakeholders across Italy and broader European markets.Manage the full overseas sales cycle, including customer development, commercial negotiations, contract execution, order management, logistics coordination, and after-sales support.Identify and resolve commercial and operational challenges to ensure efficient and compliant sales processes across European markets.Track and analyse European market trends, regulatory developments, incentive policies, competitor activity, and customer demand; translate insights into actionable market intelligence to support strategic decision-making.Represent the business at European trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events, as well as participate in regional market research and expansion initiatives.Execute additional strategic or business development initiatives aligned with the company's European growth objectives.Qualifications & Experience3+ years of overseas sales experience in the new energy industry, with strong exposure to photovoltaic and/or energy storage solutions.Demonstrated success developing and managing the Italian market, with broader European market experience considered a strong advantage.Strong cross-cultural negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence diverse international stakeholders.Solid understanding of photovoltaic and energy storage technologies, European energy markets, and international trade processes and regulatory requirements.Experience in regional market planning, cross-functional collaboration, and sales execution within a fast-paced, international environment.Comfortable working across time zones, with a results-oriented mindset and strong ownership mentality.High professional integrity, resilience under pressure, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
