Job DescriptionJob Description:We are looking for a skilledCloudera Expert Developerto join our Analytics Offering.DXC Analytics is focused on providing customers innovative solutions and high added value, in the following areas: Analytics Solutions and Services, Big Data Platforms, Information Governance, Business Intelligence & Data Management, Artificial Intelligence and IoT Analytics.Key ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will develop and maintain advanced data pipelines and solutions on the Cloudera/Hadoop stack, ensuring seamless integration and automation across environments through CI/CD pipelinesYou will work closely with architects, data engineers, and DevOps teams to build reliable, scalable, and efficient data processing systems that empower analytics and data-driven decision-makingTroubleshoot and resolve performance issues within the Cloudera ecosystemContribute to continuous improvement of coding standards, development practices, and deployment automationQualificationsStrong experience in Spark (Scala or PySpark) and Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, HDFS, Impala, Oozie, Kafka, etc.)Solid hands-on experience with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) or similar Big Data platformsProficiency with GitHub and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)Familiarity with Linux-based environments and scripting (Bash, Python)Experience in building scalable, distributed data processing systemsGood communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teamsFluency in English, both written and spokenNice to HaveExperience with cloud integration (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for hybrid Cloudera deploymentsKnowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Exposure to data governance and security frameworks (Apache Ranger, Atlas)Understanding of data quality, lineage, and metadata managementCloudera or Spark-related certificationsLocation: Rome – Hybrid Work (Smart Working Possibility)At DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.Our work model prioritizes in-person collaboration while offering flexibility to support wellbeing, productivity, individual work styles, and life circumstances.
