System Analyst – Serco Space Services – Europe CareersSerco is a trusted leader in Space Services with over 55 years of experience supporting more than 50 space missions for agencies such as ESA, NASA, and CNES.We provide expertise across the full space lifecycle, from satellite testing and launch services to operations, surveillance, and data management.This role is a groundbreaking European project at the forefront of satellite technology and climate research.Community You Will JoinYou will work in an international, diverse team surrounded by top-tier scientists, engineers, and technical experts.You'll have ongoing opportunities to grow through specialised training and professional development tailored to the space sector, while being part of a company that genuinely values work-life balance, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to excellence.What You Will Make a DifferenceYour work will contribute directly to Europe's most exciting space programmes, from Earth observation and climate monitoring to satellite navigation and space safety.You will play a vital role in ensuring mission success and driving innovation in orbit.Your MissionYou will orchestrate cloud-native applications across modern infrastructure, spinning up virtual machines, containers, and databases on IaaS, CaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms.You will design and deploy monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) and automate routine tasks.You will uphold security and compliance, automate backups, and respond to alerts.You will hunt down performance bottlenecks, support capacity planning, and collaborate with developers, architects, and DevOps engineers to shape solutions.What You Bring to the MissionCore Cloud Experience– Comfortable with cloud infrastructures; hands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments and Python, Bash scripting.Monitoring and Automation– Deployed, configured, and maintained monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, GitLab.Container & DevOps– Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Rancher knowledge.Agile and DevOps principles guiding collaboration.Language & Communication– English at B2 level, clear written and oral communication.On-call & 24/7 Uptime– Experience in 24/7 environments with on-call rotations.Bonus Skills– Elastic Stack, Grafana, Prometheus, JIRA, technical procedure writing, Earth Observation satellite data, Copernicus, Destination Earth (DestinE).Critical thinking, self-organisation.Qualifications– Secondary school diploma minimum.Two years of proven experience administering cloud systems.Familiarity with Earth Observation data and Sentinel missions.Knowledge of satellite data formats and API-based services.Comfort with Linux environments.What We OfferHybrid working style.Full health and life insurance.Exclusive discounts at selected shops.Clear career path and continuous training opportunities.Employment DetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Information TechnologyIndustries: Defense and Space Manufacturing#J-*****-Ljbffr
