Our philosophy at The Travel Corporation (TTC) is simple, we create enriching experiences for travellers by combining an unbeatable mix of exceptional service and quality at great value.As a global business with over 100 years of experience in the travel industry, our ethos of being 'Driven by Service', ensures we keep our values of passion, people and purpose at the heart of everything we do - designing and running immersive, innovative and responsible travel experiences for our guests across 70 countries.Join us in creating life-changing moments for every guest across our award-winning brands and experience the TTC difference.ValuesDriven by serviceAn inherent passion for travelCommitment to our customers and to our peopleCommitment to social responsibility and our 5-year sustainability strategyPosition SummaryThe SRM role is to be responsible for completing all aspects of supplier contracting across several brands of TTC within UK & Ireland.To be responsible for securing high value agreements with hotels and to ensure that these are of the required standard, quality, and location to satisfy the specific demands of each brand.ResponsibilitiesSUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT— Be able to manage multiple suppliers simultaneously, either remotely or in situ.Attend Trade shows and supplier functions while ensuring that all contracts are finished within deadlines and meeting the required expectations.Foster positive and professional relationships with supplier partners and make sure that urgent issues are dealt with in a timely manner.Understand your assigned contracting region, your supplier's landscapes, and the competitive scenario by researching and inspecting all applicable hotels.Keep up to date with product, quality and service standards at contracted hotels, and possible new hotels or locations.Build up a strong competitor awareness.INTERNAL COMMUNICATION & COLLABORATION— Ensure that all relevant departments are kept up to date clearly and concisely, with the current hotel situation in your areas of responsibility.Work closely with internal departments to keep current with any hotel quality issues.Answer promptly and efficiently any queries from internal departments regarding contracted hotels and be prepared on taking a creative approach to problem solving.CONTRACTING & TEAM COLLABORATION— Understand and manage our clients' specific contracting briefs / guidelines.Maintain an environment which supports the spirit of teamwork and where team members are committed, loyal and take pride in working for the company.Take a creative approach to problem solving.Organise business trips and attend Fairs in your assigned contracting area.Keep abreast of market trends in your area and have strong commercial awareness on currency fluctuations, economic and political situations that may affect business.Keep awareness of future fair periods or events that may affect the destination and product delivery.Hotel openings / closing which affect market capacity.Role Success CriteriaEnsure all contracts are completed, finalized, and approved within each brand's specified deadlines.Ensure contracting requirements for each brand are fully met and documented.Achieve predefined rate increase targets for supplier contracts, as set by the stakeholders.Adhere to brand-specific contracting briefs and product quality standards across all supplier agreements.Demonstrate strong knowledge of the supplier market and industry trends to support informed negotiations and decision-making.Key Individual TraitsBoldness— Approaches tasks and decisions with confidence and a proactive mindset, willingness to speak up and challenge the status quo.Collaborative— Builds strong relationships and works cross-functionally with a consultative, co-creative approach to influence and align others in a fast-paced environment.Resilience— Remains calm and effective under pressure, persistent through challenges, and driven to achieve long-term goals.Your Experience and ExpertiseProven track record in negotiating and implementing contracts with a wide range of suppliers, including independent hotels and international chains.Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.Ability to meet agreed targets and deadlines while maintaining a positive, confident, and approachable mindset.Commercially focused with a strong understanding of market dynamics.Excellent organisational and administration skills, planning and good time management.Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to manage shifting priorities.High attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (O365, TEAMS, Word, Excel, Outlook).Fluency in English; additional European language is an advantage.Experience with Airtable is a plus.Travel & Other RequirementsWork Location :Hybrid (office & remote) - details to be agreed with line manager.Supplier Relationship Manager Hotels • Rome, Italy#J-*****-Ljbffr
