OverviewJob Description This role is a 9 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) based at our Porcari, Lucca site.Purpose of the JobThe Senior Quality Engineer is a key member of the Quality Department, facilitating growth and ensuring robust quality controls and activities across the Rotork Lucca site.Responsibilities and OutcomesActive involvement in Customer Concerns/Complaints/Queries, driving root cause identification, corrective actions and preventative actions.Create visual awareness of quality metrics and communication to the business.Work with the Quality Manager to develop KPIs to underpin objectives.Drive activities to meet objectives and communicate & engage effectively to the business.Devise methodologies for improving process inspection & verification.Work with the Operations team to improve inspection and verification through the use of control plans, visual SOPs, poke yoke, visual standards, quality alerts, gauges and calibration adherence.Develop and execute a process audit plan.Devise process audit format and plan to engage work force and identify non-conformities.Implement methodologies for establishing "cost of quality".Scrap, defects, returns, complaints, non-value added activities.Identify, track and reduce through structured methodologies.Control quarantine levels.Create and Implement Quality Control Plans with the assistance of all the relevant team members.Internal Audit: Review the business to ensure adherence to departmental methodologies, processes and procedures.Conduct vertical audits in the business to identify opportunities for improvement.Ensure timely management of internal and external system and product non conformities.Conduct and manage product/process and system audits.Support and facilitate continuous improvement activities within the site, working cross functionally with other Departments.Develop and implement significant improvements in department wide processes, procedures and systems.Support NPI projects as required, working closely with other departments to ensure successful introduction into Production.QualificationsQualifications & Technical knowledge Essential:Minimum of 5 years relevant quality experience (with a degree), or 10 years relevant quality experience (without a degree).Experience within a Customer Facing environment, with knowledge of NCR management and utilisation of a wide range of Quality toolsUnderstanding of various quality tools and methodologies i.e. PPAP, CAPA methodology, 8D problem solving, 5 Why's, SPC, 6 Sigma (DMAIC), Lean Analysis, Pareto charts and statistical dataAn understanding of NDT, Chemical and Physical processing, as well as CNC Machining and CMM inspection.Experience working in a prescriptive working environment; Oil and Gas, Aerospace, Automotive, Nuclear, Project, or Infrastructure.Experience utilising Lean Six Sigma techniques and methodology to improve operational performanceExperience operating MRP/ERP systemsExperience supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) projectsAdditional InformationOur purpose is Keeping the World Flowing for Future Generations.For over sixty years, the world has relied on us to create the things that keep everything moving.From oil and gas to water and shipping, pharmaceuticals and food- these are the flows on which our modern world depends.Today we're respected and admired for our people, performance and products.Our success flows from our commitment to engineering excellence, and that's what we will always pursue, safely and sustainably.Rotork is going through an exciting period of change and growth, building on our existing market leadership.It's a great time to join us and make an impact in shaping the future of our business.#J-*****-Ljbffr
