We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's growing team within the space industry.You will play a key role in the design, analysis, verification and delivery of flight-qualified mechanical and thermal hardware for satellite payloads.Key Responsibilities- Mechanical design and analysis of spaceborne radar structures and subsystems- Perform structural analyses- Perform thermal and thermo-mechanical analyses for space environments- Develop mechanical and thermal system architectures for payloads and sub-systems- Produce detailed CAD models and engineering drawings- Design and support mechanical and thermal test campaigns- Support integration, verification and qualification of flight hardwareRequired Skills & Qualifications- Strong understanding of mechanical and thermal engineering principles- Strong experience with CAD and CAE tools, including:- SolidWorks- CREO- FEA tools (ANSYS, Nastran, Femap or similar)- Solid understanding of the full engineering lifecycle (concept ? design ? analysis ? qualification ? delivery ? in-service)- Experience producing manufacturing drawings and technical documentation- Good written and spoken English- Strong communication and teamwork skillsApply today for more information
