About us:Flutter, the world's largest online sports betting and iGaming group listed on the London and New York stock exchanges, is home to the Southern Europe & Africa (SEA) region, featuring iconic brands like Sisal and PokerStars, a globally loved brand that embodies innovation and ambition, with significant growth potential in a dynamic market.What you'll do:You will join the Online Casino & Videolottery Gaming Platforms team, reporting directly to the Head of Next Technology Platforms.You will be in charge of technical leadership and organizational management of the development team dedicated to the Videolottery platform.You will define the technological and architectural evolution strategy of the platform, jointly with the Head of Next Technology Platforms, and oversee its implementation.You will be responsible for the design of new technical capabilities and functionalities and for the definition of their implementation strategy.You will define, plan and prioritize development activities and tasks.You will supervise all activities carried out by the Application Maintenance & Service Management team.You will act as a mentor and coach, fostering professional growth, motivation, and performance development within the team.You will ensure the adoption of best practices in software engineering, including secure coding, testing, CI/CD pipelines usage, monitoring, and documentation.You will drive cross-functional collaboration with Product Owners, ICT Operations, QA, Security, Enterprise Architecture and other ICT teams to ensure cohesive delivery of projects.You will manage communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.You will be in charge of monitoring and management of the team's workload, performance metrics, and delivery KPIs to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.You will support the Head of Next Technology Platforms for budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor/partner management when external providers are involved in the development lifecycle.What you'll bring:Proven experience with Python and TypeScript, including most known frameworks like Flask, Django, React, Node.js, etc.Strong knowledge of architectural patterns, system design and code design principles.Solid track record in leading and coordinating software development teams, preferably in contexts involving complex applications and distributed architectures.A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.Demonstrated ability to define technology strategies and translate them into actionable roadmaps.Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-based services, with practical experience in deployment and scaling of enterprise applications.Hands-on expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases; familiarity with distributed caching (Redis) and message brokers (Kafka, MQTT, etc.) is a plus.Excellent leadership skills: ability to inspire, motivate and mentor team members, while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Experience in people management, including performance reviews, career development, and training plans.Ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, third-party vendors, and cross-functional teams at an international level.Excellent problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to identifying and addressing technical and organizational challenges.Strong commitment to quality delivery, ensuring adherence to deadlines and regulatory requirements.Demonstrated ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth international environments.Expertise in secure code development.Fluency in both English and Italian, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.Why choose us:Permanent contract with Hybrid Work;Meal Allowance;Supplemental Health Insurance;The option to join our company share saving scheme.Choose us also for:An inclusive work environment and participate in all our initiatives focused on Diversity & Inclusion;Well-Being Support: online meditation courses, medical online service and counselling with the help of certified psychologists and coaches;Learning and Development: access a platform full of training courses, join workshops, conferences.
