Youman, recruitment & executive search firm, is supporting an important client operating in the Aerospace & Defence sector in the search for aQUALITY ENGINEERMission of the RoleThe Quality Engineer will ensure product and project quality in line with internal processes, applicable standards and contractual requirements.Working closely with the Project Manager, as well as customers and suppliers, the role will support the product across the full lifecycle — from bid/tender and offer phase, through design & development, manufacturing, up to final delivery and acceptance.In addition, the position will contribute to the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS), supporting activities such as system maintenance, audits linked to certifications, supplier qualification and ongoing compliance.Main ResponsibilitiesContribute to the definition, continuous improvement and implementation of Product Assurance / Quality processes within the companyPerform and/or support Design Reviews to ensure customer and contractual requirements are metManage Configuration Management throughout the entire product lifecycleEnsure management of Non-Conformities, in compliance with applicable standards, procedures and customer requirementsPrepare and maintain project Product Assurance documentation.Participate in formal customer reviews and/or product acceptance phasesEnsure manufacturing and production processes comply with internal procedures, standards and quality requirementsPerform or coordinate internal audits (product and process) and manage corrective actions and follow-upInterface with customers and suppliers on Quality / Product Assurance topicsContribute to bid and proposal preparations from a Quality/Product Assurance standpointExperience & BackgroundMaster's Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Aeronautical/Aerospace, Electronic or similar) and 1-3 years of experience.Experience in Product Quality Assurance / Product Assurance disciplines, ideally within Aerospace & Defence environments (design, production or quality backgrounds are all considered)Knowledge and hands-on experience in defining and implementing ISO **** / AS**** compliant Quality/Product Assurance processes and proceduresGood command of English (spoken and written)Willingness to travel internationally
