Business Development Manager - Solar/BESSWe are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team in Milan.In this role, you will be an integral part of the Business Development unit, supporting activities related to securing pipeline growth in line with company targets.You will oversee the progression of projects from acquisition through filing stages and into Ready to Build status, continuing through to Financial Close, Construction, and Operation.Additionally, you will regularly update and report on project authorization timelines, environmental issues, liquidity forecasts, and budgeting, utilizing the company's IT platform.Key ResponsibilitiesPipeline Development & Coordination:Collaborate with internal functions (Legal, Grid, Commercial Engineering, Power Markets, Planning, Structured Finance) and external advisors to evaluate greenfield and co-development opportunities in both the PV and BESS markets to drive pipeline growth aligned with annual targets.Authorization & Permitting:Manage the coordination of third-party developers or service providers in the preparation and submission of applications to relevant authorities, securing the necessary legal authorizations for ground-mounted photovoltaic plants and BESS units.Document Integration & Feedback:Support and coordinate the integration of documents and provide feedback to authorities during the permitting process, ensuring compliance and project progress.Forecasting & Reporting:Work with the team to update and share forecasting dashboards with top management, covering permitting processes (timeline, budgeting, cash flow forecasts, and financial impact assessments of unforeseen factors).Environmental Mitigation:Coordinate with third-party developers and local authorities to manage environmental mitigation proposals and related issues to ensure smooth project execution.Stakeholder Management:Act as a primary interface with relevant authorities, municipalities, landowners, and other stakeholders to facilitate project authorizations and build strong relationships.M&A & Due Diligence Support:Provide technical and financial model management support in M&A deals or disputes and assist with technical due diligence activities.Required Knowledge and SkillsStrong understanding of the regulatory framework in the Italian PV and BESS markets.In-depth knowledge of both greenfield development and co-development processes.Ability to adapt assumptions and changes into financial model analysis.Proficiency in English.GIS and constraints analysis experience for PV sites is a plus.QualificationsA five-year degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.Experience5+ years of experience in Business Development within the PV market.Experience in Business Development within the BESS market is a plus.Proven interpersonal skills and experience managing relationships with public organizations.What We're Looking ForGoal-Oriented:Ability to work towards clear, measurable goals.Pressure Handling:Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.Organizational & Leadership Skills:Strong ability to organize tasks and lead teams effectively.Collaborative:Ability to work efficiently with cross-functional teams (e.g., Grid, Legal, Commercial Engineering).Entrepreneurial Mindset:Self-motivated with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
