connectivity.It's Day 1 for Amazon's next billion dollar business and we are looking for an entrepreneurial minded Finance Manager to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about technology, who thinks/acts globally, and has the ability to create and implement solutions, processes and controls.As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for forecasting, analysing, and reporting all AWS and data storage, data transmission, and other infrastructure support needed by the Kuiper hardware, software engineering and operations teams.You will have strong infrastructure cloud computing knowledge, experience with Capex allocation and Opex cost assignment, and a high capacity to learn.You will partner with business leaders to develop operating plans including capital investment and funding needed to build a global infrastructure network.Success in this role requires you to partner with and influence business owners, support thoughtful decision-making, and adapt to a rapidly-evolving environment.You will collaborate with all types of stakeholders, from VPs and Directors to Program/Project Managers and other Finance Managers across multiple business units within Amazon.You are comfortable leading analysis projects with high ambiguity, creating a robust process to track and manage the spending needs, presenting to business owners, and can pivot between the defined financial rhythms and ad-hoc project analyses.You use judgement to prioritise high-priority work and projects that maximise results for key stakeholders, while helping to solve complex problems that affect company-wide decisions.Key Job ResponsibilitiesFinance subject matter expert of Leo cloud computing consumptionDevelop strong working relationships with AWS Infrastructure and Services teams, and Leo business partnersWork across Leo to identify, quantify and forecast AWS usage (IMR) and Leo specific AWS infrastructure costs (Capex) that support Kuiper on a global scaleBuild complex financial models that estimate Leo cloud computing costs and requirements in support of negotiations with AWS and B2B prospective customers.Partner with key Leo business partners to assess and bring creative ideas to reduce cloud computing costsDevelop and implement metrics to monitor, report and evaluate forecasts and actual usage (AWS, external) and capex investments including recommendations to business leadership to drive efficiencies and spending improvementsDevelop and deliver accurate Operating Plans and Guidance R&Os and bring creative ideas to drive out costsDemonstrate an ability to manage competing priorities, work in an ambiguous business unit, and provide operations and investment guidance to the business partners based on data analysisUses active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise and unambiguous manner.Adjusts style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearlyBasic Qualifications5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experienceBachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experienceExperience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solvingPreferred Qualifications6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experienceMBA or CPAExperience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis, and data interpretation of resultsOur compensation reflects the cost of labour across several US geographic markets.The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market.Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Amazon is a total compensation company.Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments and other
