About Enfinity Global Enfinity Global is a purpose-driven company focused on making a positive impact on the planet by helping companies, governments, and individuals transition to a carbon-free and sustainable economy.Our role as a leading IPP is to develop, finance, build, operate, and own renewable energy assets in the long term across Europe, Asia, and the Americas through our offices in the USA, Spain, Italy, UK, Netherlands, India, and Japan.Our team of over 400 Enfiniters includes seasoned finance professionals, experienced project developers, and operators with expertise across all stages of the project life cycle.We pride ourselves on being creative and innovative solution providers to our customers and partners.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior BESS Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of grid-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).The ideal candidate will have extensive technical expertise in renewable systems engineering and will be responsible for driving projects from conceptual design through commissioning and operation.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & DevelopmentLead the electrical design of BESS projects, including conceptual layouts, single-line diagrams, load-flow analysis, and control schematics.Provide technical support for procurement processes to ensure alignment with project specifications.Develop detailed technical specifications and scopes of work for RFPs and tender documents.Evaluate vendor bids, perform techno-economic comparisons, and select suitable technologies and equipment suppliers.Negotiate technical aspects of contracts, warranties, and supply terms with BESS suppliers.Collaborate with commercial and legal teams to ensure supply contracts meet technical, quality, and budgetary requirements.Standards & ComplianceEnsure all designs comply with applicable codes and standards such as NEC, UL ****, NFPA 855, IEEE ****, and relevant European local utilities/AHJ permitting requirements.Project Lifecycle SupportProvide technical assistance throughout the project lifecycle, including cost estimates, submittal reviews, RFI responses, and construction/commissioning support.Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams (civil, structural, mechanical, SCADA/telecommunications) to develop complete design packages.Performance AnalysisModel system behavior for performance, lifecycle, and resiliency scenarios using industry tools.RequirementsExperience– 3-5 years of professional experience in energy storage, power systems, or related fields, with a focus on BESS design and integration.Procurement Experience– Proven experience in writing technical specifications, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts for BESS or related capital equipment.Education– Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).Technical SkillsProficiency with BESS components: inverters, BMS, EMS, PCS.Strong understanding of power systems engineering topics such as load flow, short circuit, and protective device coordination.Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD) and modeling tools (e.g., PSCAD, ETAP).Communication– Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong negotiation abilities.Preferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification (mandatory).Experience with microgrid design and control architectures.Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits and field commissioning.BenefitsPrivate health insurancePension planPaid time offWork from homeTraining & developmentPerformance bonusEmployment DetailsSeniority Level:AssociateEmployment Type:Full-timeJob Function:IT Services and IT ConsultingIndustries:IT Services and IT Consulting#J-*****-Ljbffr
