Site WHS Manager, Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) One focus area of the Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) mission is to provide tools, resources, and environments that support safe, efficient, healthy behaviors and encourage employees to proactively manage their health and wellbeing.To support this focus area, Amazon is seeking an experienced and innovative Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to join our team.This position will serve as the Site WHS Manager and be responsible for partnering with an Operations Team at the site level to execute company WHS policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local, regional and federal regulations.This individual will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes to ensure a safe and healthful working environment for our associates.The Site WHS Manager must demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and WHS data analysis.Key job responsibilitiesServe as the strategic partner to Operations Site Leader, responsible to lead and develop a team of WHS professionals.Lead and develop leadership development plans for the WHS team, communicating expectations and providing frequent feedback to ensure core competencies of an Amazon WHS professional.Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with local, regional, domestic regulations and company policy.Lead initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in processes to ensure a safe and healthful environment.Establish high-quality relationships with both site and regional leadership.Measure site performance against published requirements, identify deficiencies and implement corrective plans, driving accountability for the plan.Analyze WHS metrics and review incident trends to justify allocation of appropriate resources to the highest WHS risks.Perform site WHS audits to identify non-compliance equipment or processes, implement solutions to eliminate exposure, and prevent injury at other facilities.Audit record-keeping practices to ensure compliance to WHS standards and local regulations.Audit workplace organization and Associate behaviours to ensure training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate and consistent.Ensure site leadership and Associates are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy, auditing the quality, delivery (including trainer qualifications) and effectiveness of all required WHS training.Must be able to work flexible shifts.Basic Qualifications5+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience.Bachelor's degree.Experience leading multiple direct reports or multiple sites.Preferred QualificationsExperience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.Experience in a distribution centre or manufacturing EHS with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.Master's degree.Certified Safety Professional.In the spirit of reconciliation, Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, please visit for more information.Posted: November 20, **** (Updated about 2 months ago)#J-*****-Ljbffr
