On behalf of the Italian subsidiary of the group – SSC Italy – we are seeking passionate individuals with a strong background in telecommunications or space engineering and extensive experience in ground operations to support one of our customers in Italy.If you are eager to make a significant impact in the space industry, apply now and embark on an extraordinary space journey with us.RequirementsDegreeinTelecommunications,Aerospace Engineering,Computer Science, or a related field.Proven extensive experience inspacecraft operations, including direct involvement inLEOPactivities.Strong knowledge ofTT&C systems,ground networks, andmission control infrastructure.Familiarity withground segment monitoringandtelemetry handling.Ability tolead multidisciplinary teamsundertime-critical conditions.Advanced level ofEnglishand excellentcommunication skills.Experience inLEOmissions.Legal and Security RequirementsApplicants must be legally allowed to work in the EU and hold aEuropean citizenship.Evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.Copy ofpassport and degree(s) certificate.Good conduct certificatefrom the country where currently resident.Furthermore, in view of the nature of the work, all potential employees will undergo stringent reference checks.ResponsibilitiesAs Ground Operations Manager you will be responsible for coordinating the preparation and execution of ground segment activities.The main tasks will be the following:Ground Operations Procedures (GOP) preparation and validation.Participate in system validation campaigns, simulations, and rehearsals for operational readiness.Lead the integration and testing of new ground segment systems and tools.Lead and coordinate real-time ground operations activities during LEOP and commissioning phases, also outside office hours.Monitor ground station performance, network connectivity, and data flow.Monitor and analyze ground system performance to maintain high service availability.Maintain and update ground operations documentation and training material.Preparation of training sessions for the Ground Segment Team.Supporting the continuous improvement of operations.Work closely with the Operations Team and the external ground service providers to ensure operational readiness.Report ground segment status and performance to internal and external stakeholders.ContractCompetitive remuneration package, recognizing the value of your skills and expertise.Uniquecareer opportunities, including the possibility of working in other countries with our SSC Group.Personalizedtraining and development programmes.To be considered for this PositionPrior to**********, please apply via ourJob Application form.If not directly interested, feel free to share this Job Vacancy with your friends#J-*****-Ljbffr
