Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.We are more than 36,000 people, in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life.Everyone has an important role to play.With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role descriptionAs a Contract & Cost Administrator you will be responsible for delivering high-value and high-quality contract management services for Data Center projects.You will work closely with both clients and internal teams, ensuring that all contractual and administrative activities meet the required quality standards and the specific needs of each project.By proactively managing building contracts, you will provide expert advice on commercial, risk, and compliance matters, supporting the project's success from inception through to closeout.The role requires strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, as well as a regular on-site presence to review progress and quality with contractors and other project stakeholders.Role accountabilitiesManagement of the entirety of the Building Contracts.Visit the site regularly to review progress and quality with the contractor and other contractors undertaking the project.Provide contractual support and advice on potential change orders, cost impacts, risks, and utility requirements.Advise on client liability regarding any claims from the contractor (preliminary advice only).Discuss the adjusted contract sum (final account) with the contractor.Agree with client the authorisation to the adjusted contract sum.Manage and track the closeout of claims in collaboration with the project team.Analyse and report on the contractor's losses and expenses claims.Advise on the contractor's entitlement to extensions of time in collaboration with project team.Analyse the contractor's application(s) for extensions of time.Prepare documentation and/or provide advice to support proceedings: adjudication, mediation, arbitration, litigation, RFP, final contract, exhibits finalization, interim payment certification, etc.Overview document management: store all relevant correspondence and documents, accessible by all stakeholders.Reporting activity related to role and discipline.Weekly/monthly meeting attendance.Qualifications & ExperienceAt least 10 years of working experience in similar roles and/or international companies.Excellent knowledge of English language (B2/C1) and a good level of Italian (B1/B2).FIDIC contract knowledge is a must.A degree in engineering is a strong plus.A previous experience in the Data Center sector will be considered a strong plus.Ability to travel autonomously is a must.Strong oral and written communication skills.Available to travel domestically around 80% of the time.Frequent presence on-site will be requested.Projects are based in the Milan hinterland, mainly east and south of Milan.Why Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.We believe everyone's contribution matters.It's why we are pioneering a skills-based approach, where you can harness your unique experience and expertise to carve your career path and maximize the impact we can make together.You'll do meaningful work, and no matter what role, you'll be helping to deliver sustainable solutions for a more prosperous planet.Make your mark on your career, your colleagues, your clients, your life and the world around you.Together, we can create a lasting legacy.Join Arcadis.Create a Legacy.Our Commitment to Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & BelongingWe want you to be able to bring your best self to work every day, which is why we take equality and inclusion seriously and hold ourselves to account for our actions.Our ambition is to be an employer of choice and provide a great place to work for all our people.#J-*****-Ljbffr
