Finance Manager - Global Transportation Business Partnership, Finance OperationsJob ID: | Amazon.com Services LLCThe Finance Operations (FinOps) Business Partnership (BP) team is seeking a Finance Manager who will be a key member of the Global Transportation BP team.In this role, you will drive Accounts Payable performance across multiple modes of Transportation globally, developing and maintaining operational metrics, assessing priority areas, driving global operational reviews, and owning improvements to achieve targets.You will partner with upstream business, finance, technology, tax, and accounting teams to build scalable payables processes and remove defects.As a business partner, you will collaborate daily with Accounts Payable, Service Centers, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Accounting, Technology, Customers, and other operational groups at all levels in a global environment.Your strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills will be essential to manage multiple high-visibility priorities in a fast-paced environment where you'll navigate ambiguous situations and drive effective solutions.Key Job ResponsibilitiesDefine and develop key performance indicators, operational metrics, and service level agreements for programs and processes, tracking delivery against global objectivesPartner with leadership to consolidate inputs, challenge assumptions on performance drivers and projections from stakeholders, and maintain effective relationships between Finance Operations, Service Centers, and Transportation businessesAnalyze critical data sets to trace defect areas to root causes, scope future state solutions, influence roadmap decisions, and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutionsSolve complex customer, process, and system escalations to ensure thorough root cause analysis and effective problem resolutionIdentify and quantify financial and operational risks and opportunities while recommending practices to ensure financial data integrity and compliance with internal and external policiesA Day in the LifeYour day begins by reviewing performance dashboards and preparing for operational reviews with global stakeholders.You'll analyze payment processing metrics to identify trends and potential process improvements.Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experiencePreferred QualificationsMBA, or CPA6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experienceKnowledge of SQL/ETLExperience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experienceExperience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data cost of labor across several US geographic markets.The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market.Pay is
