We are looking for an Analog Design Engineer to be a part of the Apple PMU team in Livorno.Are you passionate about analog circuit design?Do you want to become a visible part of development team creating innovative products?We develop and deliver best in class Power Management Unit Integrated Circuits to enable unique user experience.As a member of our multicultural team, you will participate in the development of pioneering power management ICs for all kind of Apple products We are looking for someone who will engage in the full process of chip development from concept definition to silicon bring-up in the local labs.Your responsibilities will cover key architecture definition and selection as well as its implementation, verification and validation.You will also support the production test development, evaluation and qualification.DescriptionWe seek an Engineer who will take part in the entire process of IP development starting from architecture definition and specification through design and verification ending on lab validation and debug support and be in charge of development of best-in-class power management solutions and verify its compliancy to specification pre and post layout.They will support layout team, DFT and AMS teams during design phase.We require someone who can closely collaborate with the validation team on debugging and characterization of the block and with the test team, ensuring production test quality and coverage.Preferred QualificationsExpertise in Delta Sigma design is considered as beneficialKnowledge of IC Production Test and QualificationKnowledge of hardware description languages (VHDL, Verilog) and use of MatlabPrevious expertise as a technical leader in complex projectsApple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversityWe take affirmative action to ensure equal opportunity for all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, Veteran status, or other legally protected characteristicsApple is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodation to applicants with physical and mental disabilitiesMinimum QualificationsDeep knowledge of transistor level designExperience in design, verification and simulation of power management circuits such as linear regulators (LDO), data conversion (ADC/DAC), voltage references, charge pumps, amplifiers, comparators meeting power, area and performance specificationExpertise in design analyses methods such as small signal, feedback loop systems, noise analysisAbility to work close with the layout team to ensure quality and compactness of the block layoutAbility to cooperate with the lab team for block characterization and debuggingKnowledge of the control algorithms would be an advantageAble to work well within the team, take ownership and encourage othersFluency in English is requiredEither MSc or PhD in Electronic Engineering or equivalentAt Apple, we're not all the same.And that's our greatest strength.We draw on the differences in who we are, what we've experienced, and how we think.Because to create products that serve everyone, we believe in including everyone.Therefore, we are committed to treating all applicants fairly and equally.We will work with applicants to make any reasonable accommodations.
