Engineering Operations Technician, ADC InfraOps DCEO Job ID: ******* | Amazon Data Services, Inc.OverviewAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.We keep the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and equipment to ensure customers have continual access to our services.We work on challenging problems across supply-chain variables and need talented people to help.You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest safety and security standards while providing infinite capacity at the lowest cost.You'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers ownership.Role SummaryThe Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) is Amazon's front-line responder for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation.Equipment includes stand-by diesel generators, switchboards, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, VFDs and building automation systems.They provide 24/7 shift coverage, which may include 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3-, 4- or 5-day work weeks.This position requires the candidate to be a US citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance and SCI eligibility.Key job responsibilitiesOperate and maintain mechanical and electrical emergency generators, fire/life safety equipment and other data center equipment.Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.Perform limited maintenance tasks including filter changes, HVAC preventive maintenance, rack power installs, rack PDU and rack ATS replacements.Support Data Center Operations technicians.Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while working.Work a 12-hour shift on rotating 3- or 4-day work weeks.Take daily operational readings of mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds and log taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.).Utilize internal CMMS to manage building workflows and spare-part inventory.Supervise contractors performing servicing or preventive maintenance.Respond to off-hour emergency calls per on-call rotation for any region's sites.Fully comply with all physical security procedures and policies.Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities.Manipulate small wires and objects.Physical and Work ConditionsWalk job sites in uneven terrain.Work at heights and from ladders.Regularly lift and/or move up to 39 pounds;
