Emea Indirect Commodity Specialist

About the PositionWe are looking for a EMEA Indirect Commodity Specialist for OPEX Categories (Energy, Functional Services and Facility Management) to join the Indirect Commodity team, reporting directly to the EMEA Indirect Commodity Manager.This position is based at our office in Italy (preferably Bologna or Venaria).As the Indirect Commodity Specialist for OPEX Categories at Marelli, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement of specific commodities within your region.This role ensures cost-effective sourcing, supplier performance, and strategic alignment with global procurement goals.The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive value, mitigate risks, and support operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesCommodity Strategy Development – develop and implement regional commodity strategies aligned with global objectives, market trends, and business needs.Supplier Management – identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost competitiveness; conduct regular supplier performance reviews.Cost Optimization – lead cost reduction initiatives through negotiation, value engineering, and alternative sourcing strategies.Market Intelligence – monitor market dynamics, pricing trends, and supply risks for assigned commodities; provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders.Contract Negotiation – negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.Cross-functional Collaboration – work closely with engineering, quality, logistics, and finance teams to support product development, production, and continuous improvement.Risk Management – identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, environmental, and economic factors.Reporting & Analytics – maintain accurate records of commodity performance, savings, and supplier metrics; prepare regular reportsfor management.DOA – approve within delegation limits the process of the Supplier Bid List / nomination approval, supporting the Buyer and PBS to emit the PO.QualificationsEducation: Economics or Engineering Degree; specialization inSupply Chain is a plus.Languages: English fluent; additional language preferred.Experience: 3 years in an International Purchasing or Logistics organization (preferable automotive sector); consolidated experiencein Purchasing Indirect Logistics or Supply Chain Management is a must.Travel and driving license required.Additional SkillsFunctional expertise of SAP and/or JAGGAER considered a plus.Benefits & ExpectationsGood knowledge of MS Office suites, with expert knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.Ability to work effectively within a global matrixed organization as a trusted member of a multicultural team across multiple locations and countries.Problem-solving and analysis techniques; good communication skills (presentation, written, verbal); commercial and technical negotiation skills; mediation, relationshipbuilding, and conflict management.Fast-paced yet supportive and high-performing international team with an inspiring ambition to transform the future of mobility.Support in onboarding and further training that will set you up with Marelli's speed.A hybrid work model, helping you to achieve work-life balance – combining the best of remote work with purposeful co-creation time in the office.Take the Next StepTogether, we will drive the world towards a safer, greener, and better-connected future.Are you ready to make your mark, shape the future of the automotive industry, and drive the growth of the business?Talk to usTo apply, submit your application via our job posting.#J-*****-Ljbffr
