The role involves collaborating with the development team and ECU suppliers to define and fine-tune specific engine control functions. The candidate will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and optimizing various aspects of engine performance, applying advanced calibration and simulation tools.Key Responsibilities:Pedal map definitionand calibration ofdrivability filtersto optimize the interaction between the engine and vehicle behavior.Engine braking control 0, aiming to improve stability and response during deceleration.Fine-tuning of idle control,launch strategies, andtorque reserve managementto ensure optimal performance in various driving conditions.Fuel transient compensationto improve engine response during rapid acceleration and deceleration.Fine-tuning of the rev limiterto optimize performance without compromising engine safety.Torque control, focusing on following the driver's torque requests and/or those made by other CAN network nodes.Evaluation and calibration of advanced featuressuch ascruise control, traction control, quick shift,engine brake control, andwheely control.Manage and conduct performance tests ondynamic and stationary test benches, with detailed analysis of results.Use ofautomation and calibration optimization toolsthroughMATLAB.Post-processing calibration dataand creating graphical representations to analyze performance.Writing test reportsto monitor progress and optimizations made during testing sessions.Collaboration with EMS suppliersto solve any issues related to engine control software and with the calibration manager to implement the developed packages.Required Qualifications:Degree inMechanical Engineeringwith excellent academic performance.At least3 yearsof experience in engine calibration, with a focus ondrivabilityfor gasoline engines.A3 driver's licenseand a good motorcycling experience.Proficient inEnglish.Experience with calibration software such asETAS INCAandMATLABfor tool generation.Experience indata modeling and post-processing results(usingMATLABandAVL Concerto).Knowledge ofETAScalibration systems and configuring related tools.Understanding of automotive electronics components and the ability to comprehend the interactions of calibrations on individual components.Strong problem-solving skills, quick decision-making, and result-oriented.Willingness to travel.Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity withSynerject,Continental, andVitescoengine control systems.Next Steps:Someone from the Talent Acquisition department will contact you to schedule an initialHR interview.If successful, a second interview will be conducted to validate yourtechnical knowledge.In case of a positive outcome from the technical interview, there will be a lastqualification meetingwith the Client.If the final outcome is positive, we will discuss ourproposalwith you.
