JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company.Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for increasing gross profit and market share while developing ongoing relationships with new and existing customers.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONUtilize market data and develop sales strategies to increase our customer baseMaintain a thorough knowledge of products and services offered by the companyTravel throughout assigned territory to meet with regular and prospective customersAble to develop and maintain strong business relationshipsProvide pricing, credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtainedProvide activity reports and sales plans for the assigned territoryAdhere to all requirements outlined in the Sales PolicyQUALIFICATIONExcellent organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal skillsExcellent presentation and interpersonal skillsThorough knowledge of transportation industry logistics and freight forwardingThorough knowledge of successful sales techniquesStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, Fluent englishDetail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlinesSelf-motivated, able to work in a team and independentlyEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCECollege degree preferred5+ years successful sales experience in freight forwarding, logistics and or transportation industry
