Position: Civil PV & BESS Engineer – ItalyWho are we recruiting for:Our client is a leading IPP with a strong focus on solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS).With ambitious growth plans in Italy, including large-scale PV development and BESS hybridisation, the company is expanding its Global Engineering & Technical Support (GETS) team to support projects across the full development and construction lifecycle.This role offers the opportunity to join a multidisciplinary engineering team, primarily supporting projects in Italy while also providing remote technical support to international assets.What will you be doingAct as a civil engineering technical reference within the GETS team, with a strong focus on Italian regulations, codes, and design standardsSupport PV and BESS projects across all phases, from early-stage development through EPC and commissioningPerform civil feasibility assessments for greenfield PV and BESS opportunities, including analysis of topographical, geotechnical, hydrological, and environmental dataDevelop preliminary civil layouts, earthworks analysis, and CAPEX estimates for civil scopesConduct site visits and identify civil and construction-related risks, contributing to Investment Committee materialsCarry out conceptual civil engineering activities, including foundation assessments for fixed and tracker structures, preliminary Civil 3D designs, and coordination of MV station foundations and access roadsDeliver key civil drawings for RFQ processes and support contract negotiationsReview PV and BESS layouts and EPC engineering deliverables in line with Italian standards and contractual requirementsSupport QA/QC activities, testing procedures, as-built documentation reviews, and site supervision during constructionCollaborate closely with Construction, O&M, Asset Management, and external contractors to ensure technical alignment and high-quality project executionIdentify opportunities to optimise design standards, construction procedures, and overall project qualityAre you the ideal candidate?Minimum of 4 years' experience in civil engineering roles related to solar PV projects; BESS experience is a strong advantageStrong knowledge of Italian civil codes and standards, including NTC ****, Eurocodes, seismic zoning requirements, hydraulic risk, and concrete standardsSolid understanding of PV and BESS project design, construction, and authorisation processes in ItalyProficiency with AutoCAD and PV Case; experience with Civil 3D preferredDegree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, ideally with a focus on renewable energyFluent in Italian with strong technical English skillsStrong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detailAbility to work independently in a cross-functional, international team environmentWillingness to travel within Italy (including Sicily) and occasionally internationallyWhat's in itCompetitive base salary plus benefitsExposure to large-scale PV and BESS projects in a high-growth renewable energy platformLong-term career development within a multidisciplinary and international engineering teamOpportunity to contribute directly to the energy transitionWho we areExecutive Integrity is a global executive search and recruitment consultancy for a more sustainable world, with a focus on talent within the Green Technology and Renewable Energy sectors.We donate a proportion of all our profits to Friends of the Earth International.#J-*****-Ljbffr
