Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers and society.Together, we're pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources.Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping.As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth.So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.About the jobBased in Monza, Italy, you will join the Automation Development team, responsible for the development of advanced control systems and IoT solutions for Alfa Laval core products and customized projects worldwide.As an Electrical Panel Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of low-voltage power and control panels, with a strong focus on control cabinets and automation systems.You will work in an Agile, international environment, supporting the full product lifecycle from concept and design to validation and release.Key responsibilitiesReview and analyze customer automation and electrical inputsUnderstand project specifications and support the estimation of design hours and budgetPerform low-voltage (LV) electrical design calculationsDesign control and command panels, including component selection and layoutParticipate in quality assurance activities and peer reviewsPlan and coordinate electrical design activities in collaboration with project stakeholdersCollaborate across sites within the Device Competence Space and global teamsRequired skills and qualificationsDegree in Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering, or Technical Diploma in Electrical EngineeringProven experience with electrical design tools such as EPLAN P8 or equivalent (EPLAN is strongly preferred)Solid knowledge of EN *******, UL 508A, and EN ******* standardsExperience in low-voltage electrical design, including:- protection coordination- control panel design- thermal verification- component sizing and selectionKnowledge of ATEX and EN ******* for electrical design in hazardous areas (Zone 1 and Zone 2)Experience in producing electrical schematics and drawings, supported by hands-on practical experience, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of real-world design challengesExperience in project work and product development; project management experience is a plusExperience with marine approvals, verification processes, and related documentation (considered a plus)Experience with prototype development or MVP-oriented design approaches (considered a plus)Fluent written and spoken English#J-*****-Ljbffr
