Regulatory Affairs Project Manager – Plant Protection

OverviewEnvironmental Resources Management (ERM) is seeking an experienced Plant Protection Regulatory Affairs professional to join us as a Project Manager in Southern Europe.This is a global consultancy with a track record in advising clients in the chemical sector, focusing on agrochemicals, biocides and REACH to navigate the EU regulatory environment.ERM values accountability, client focus, and collaboration across geographies, with opportunities for professional development and flexible hybrid working.We offer opportunities for both early career and experienced professionals to work in a collaborative environment, with structured trainings and internal workshops to support development in toxicology, ecotoxicology, regulatory affairs, environmental fate and residues.ResponsibilitiesDevelop robust regulatory strategies in collaboration with clients to help ensure project success; manage the regulatory process for active substances and formulations with a focus on biological control registrations.Lead dossier preparation and project coordination, including setting up projects, client liaison, and on-time delivery to meet regulatory deadlines.Provide guidance on EU regulations specific to biological control agents (e.g., macroorganisms, microbial biopesticides, natural products) and conventional plant protection products.Define actions and allocate resources to achieve project objectives; ensure on-time and on-budget delivery with deliverables meeting quality standards and aligned to desired results.Understand clients' desired outcomes and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.Represent ERM in client meetings and act as a focal point for selected key clients, working with the wider crop protection team to meet client and regulatory deadlines.Provide client and internal team support on plant protection product (PPP) regulations as required.Support the personal development of other team members and contribute to wider business development activities (e.g., client visits, conferences, expert groups) as appropriate.QualificationsDegree-level education in chemical or related disciplines (e.g., biology, biochemistry, microbiology).Strong working knowledge of EU PPP regulations, including prior contact with national or EU regulatory bodies.Proven track record in agrochemical or biological control product registration; experience in dossier preparation for plant protection substances, particularly biological controls.IUCLID experience and knowledge of regulatory agency portals can be advantageous.Industrial experience in the agrochemical industry is beneficial.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across disciplines; strong commitment to delivering high-quality work that exceeds client expectations; and a strong commitment to safety and health protocols.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen, organize, and prioritize; good, clear presentation skills are beneficial.Excellent inter-personal skills and a passion to help others develop.To ApplyAt ERM, we are committed to an inclusive culture and welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds.If you share our values and are interested in this role, please send your CV (in English) along with salary expectations.ERM is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive environment and providing the necessary tools, support, and adjustments to succeed.Learn more about our Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DIB) efforts by visiting our website.Regulatory Affairs Project Manager Plant Protection • Milan, ItalyRegulatory Affairs Project Manager Plant Protection • Rome, Italy#J-*****-Ljbffr
