Senior Director OCIO – Job OverviewFortrea is seeking a dynamicSenior Director OCIOto shape how technology fuels our business.This pivotal role partners with senior leaders to set the direction of our enterprise IT strategy, oversee a high-impact project portfolio, streamline technology investment, and ensure our teams deliver real measurable value.Summary of ResponsibilitiesEstablish KPIs and mechanisms to assess effectiveness and efficiency of the IT organization initiatives.Oversee IT budgeting, cost estimation, resource allocation, and cost optimization efforts.Contribute to and oversee the investment strategy for digital and technology initiatives.Work with senior business unit leaders to develop project and program resourcing strategies and influence sourcing strategy to manage vendors effectively.Foster a culture of learning and development by managing a team of OCIO staff.Maintain efficient communication channels within and outside IT functions, including town halls, IT leadership meetings, and preparation of materials for the Board of Directors.Drive complex problem solving focused on efficiency, eliminating friction and contributing innovative ideas to a results-centric organization.Develop IT performance metrics and conduct monthly reviews with the IT leadership team.Ensure continuous alignment of project and technology investment and initiatives with business strategy, including risk exposure and interdependencies.Oversee the project portfolio and annual planning processes, including monthly project budget review and monthly project status reviews.Lead the PMO (Project Management Organization) by creating progression plans for project management functions.Collaborate with key stakeholders, business leaders, and department heads to align Fortrea's technical capabilities with business objectives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical operations, security, application, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of strategic data and integration solutions.Qualifications (Minimum Required)Minimum of 12 years of experience in IT project/portfolio management and people leadership.Minimum of 3 years of executive-level experience preferred.Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering, management, business administration, or a related area required; Master's or advanced degree preferred.Experience driving successful change across a large complex business.Strong understanding of IT strategy, enterprise architecture, and emerging technologies.Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Proven executive and management presence with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Collaborative, tactical implementation ability, bias toward action, strong accountability, and passion for accomplishing tasks.Business judgment experience building business and operational plans and determining financial and operational impacts.Strong communication skills with collaborative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities to achieve business goals while balancing business and technology objectives.Deep clinical trials and laboratory expertise and knowledge of how clinical development business units work together.Experience liaising with regulator frameworks to influence policy and adoption of solutions and technologies.Experience (Minimum Required)Minimum of 12 years of experience in IT and people management.Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering, management, business administration, or a related area required.English speaking/reading required.#LI-REMOTELearn more about our EEO & Accommodations request here.Senior Director Office of the CIO • Milan, Lombardy, Italy#J-*****-Ljbffr
