You can expect to receive coaching and mentoring to enable you to complete assignments and projects to develop your learning and skillset.You will also have the opportunity to become familiar with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) and culture of Baker Hughes. as well as our strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.As an Intern, you will be responsible for:Overseeing organizational contract development and management activities.Managing the Variation Order Process with internal customers and suppliers.Developing standards for contracts, including presentation of budgets, payment terms, general language and provisions, and supporting purchase order issuance.Ensuring that contracts and proposals are properly entered into organizational databases and securely maintained.Serving as the primary organizational contact during contract negotiations.Assuring the accuracy and appropriateness of contract text and attachments.Staying informed about changes to relevant rules and regulations.Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance is maintainedFuel your passionTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:GPA grade greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent in your countryA degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in a legal or business-related fieldAbility to legally work in the country that you are applying in, without company sponsorship or time restrictionKnowledge of contractual terms and negotiating practicesConscientiousness and self-motivation, with the ability to work on your own initiativeHigh attention to detail and the ability to be rigorously analyticalTechnical, legal, or commercial knowledge, gained either practically and/or through a degreeEnthusiasm and the ability to represent the company positively at all timesStrong negotiating and persuasive skills, both in one-on-one and group situationsExcellent English communication skills, both oral and writtenProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the Outlook applicationExperience in the Oil & Gas sector (tier one) is useful but not essentialWork in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone.
