Description

We are looking for a Business Application Architect to join our headquarters at Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO), reporting directly to the Head of IT and functionally to the Coordination of Architecture, Data & Services

You will be responsible for defining, maintaining and evolving the applications IT architecture within the Corporate cross-domain solutions, promoting enterprise architecture applications principles and ensuring the reliability, security, and evolution of the corporate digital platforms.

Your main activities will be:

  • Define and evolve Applications architecture within the Corporate domains aligned with the overall enterprise landscape, architecture standards, and corporate digitalization strategy, supporting the creation of domain-level architectural blueprints
  • Convert project-specific needs into optimized solutions (cloud, on-premise or hybrid) considering resources usage, scalability, and user adoption requirements
  • Design and validate innovative IT applications architectures for Corporate platforms like the ERP, Sales & After Sales Digital ecosystem, PLM/ALM Platform (all business relevant platforms except Production and Data Platforms)
  • Establish and enforce domain-specific architectural standards and governance, ensuring compliance with Enterprise architecture principles and escalating risks/compliance issues
  • Ensure effective integration between Corporate platforms as core enterprise systems, in compliance with the integration standards and API governance, defined at Enterprise level
  • Act as Service Manager to Manage external operational services in scope.
  • Evaluate, propose and translate IT requirements into consistent architectures within the Corporate domain, in alignment with the technology direction defined by the Enterprise Architect
  • Support the design and implementation of Corporate infrastructure solutions (cloud, on-premise, hybrid), ensuring alignment with Enterprise infrastructure principles and security requirements
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of Corporate platforms from acquisition and implementation through maintenance, upgrade, and decommissioning, reducing vendor lock-in risks
  • Oversee security and compliance for Corporate platforms; work closely with IT security to monitor data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
  • Offer technical guidance to business teams and project partners on Corporate technology solutions, best practices, and architecture patterns

About you

  • University Degree in in computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration (MBA) or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT architecture, enterprise architecture, or senior technical roles
  • Experience with applications architecture frameworks and methodologies, technology evaluation and selection, stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
  • English knowledge, German will be considered a plus
  • Relevant certifications in application architecture frameworks
  • On Prem and Cloud Business Platforms like SAP S4/Hana, Salesforce, PTC PLM and ALM,
  • API, Integration Platforms (Mulesoft and others) Management & governance
