Overview

In this Construction Manager role, you will lead field construction activities for Life Sciences projects in Corsico (Milan) with on-site assignments across Europe and internationally. You will work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and site teams to deliver safe, on-time construction and commissioning within pharma/biotech environments. You’ll contribute to high-profile projects for leading clients, shaping delivery standards and safety practices. This role offers cross-border collaboration and a clear impact on project outcomes and client satisfaction.

Responsabilità
  • Lead field construction activities and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery per project documents
  • Chair kickoff and progress meetings with subcontractors; maintain project diaries and documentation
  • Coordinate detailed construction schedules with Field Project Control and Planner
  • Manage construction and commissioning personnel, including direct subcontractors
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and HSE procedures; participate in client safety audits
  • Review changes, approve scope modifications and manage any out-of-contract extra work
  • Support QA processes for field activities, non-conformities, and corrective actions
  • Liaise with Project Manager, Client Construction Manager, and Field Project Engineer to communicate project status and issues
  • Organize start-up of field activities and ensure proper records for contract closure
  • Monitor progress reports and ensure alignment with the Master Project Schedule and budget
Requisiti fondamentali
  • BSc in engineering or equivalent
  • 10–15 years of post-qualification field construction experience in a relevant industry
  • Proven experience in managing office and field construction activities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to manage construction and commissioning personnel including subcontractors
  • Demonstrates leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities
  • Effective delegation and team development to improve productivity and project integration
  • Ability to manage uncertainty and make sound, fact-based decisions
  • Knowledge of HSE procedures and safety management on site
