Job Position:
If you choose to share your energy with us, you will join the Gas Trading Desk in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, optimise and execute gas trading strategies in key EU countries from day one. To be successful in this role, you will need experience of natural gas markets and a thorough understanding of gas fundamentals, logistics and the wider energy market complex.
We are looking for a new team member who is ambitious, structured, focused and a motivated team player.
To do list (what you will do):
Develop and implement profitable trading strategies Work with the algorithmic and systematic trading team Execute trades day ahead and along the curve Identify and research ways to improve existing trading strategies Maximise PL with compliance framework Manage VaR limit assigned by Head of Trading Suggest data analysis to internal analyst team to generate profitable trading strategiesRequired experience (also known as hard skills):
At least 2 or 4 years’ experience in EU Markets gas trading or cross-commodity trading Proven track record in gas trading Strong business acumen combined with entrepreneurial flair Strong personal interest in financial markets, trading and options Master’s Degree in Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Economics and Finance (or scientific disciplines) Good knowledge of the English language Nice to have: IT skills like Python, C#, R, VBASoft Skills (our favourites):
Excellent communication and collaborative skills Ability to make quick decisions under pressure Strong analytical and quantitative skills Proactive approach to overcome challenges Able to work well under pressure Results-oriented and able to manage priorities Good attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organisational and work planning skills Willing to work in a teamWhat to expect:
