Summary:

VIAVI Solutions, formerly Comtest Wireless, provides tools specifically for railway and other mission critical operators with technically demanding environments, who depend on private networks to run their mission critical communications.

Our portfolio is the de-facto, most-used railway telecommunication and signaling test, measurement and monitoring solutions in the rail industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Producing system operational reports and performing preventive maintenance operations for telecommunications performance and monitoring Drive Test systems, in direct contact with Customers:

Constant monitoring of correct operation of the system.

Performing preventive maintenance operations.

Troubleshoot and fix issues in system operation (in cooperation with Deployment/Support/R&D teams).

Producing reports on system operational to be submitted to Customers.

Producing reports on data analysis for telecommunications performances.

Producing reports for telecommunication networks performances using company Network Monitoring and Drive Test tools.

Performing/Supporting test campaigns for telecommunication networks performances using company Drive Test tool and producing related reports to Customers.

(Preferred) Performing users trainings on company Network Monitoring and Drive Test tools.

Undertaking installation and commissioning of software and hardware, thus delivering a successful system delivery and support services to all our customers.

Cooperating with Support team in L1 and L2 trouble tickets analysis and management.

Contribute to documents production along with the team:

Installation processes and procedures.

Inventories and installed base descriptions.

Technical specifications for deployment.

Customer-oriented approach.

Actively contribute to the development of processes and procedures.

Managing multiple priorities within a friendly and active environment.

Timely preparation of meetings and reporting.

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Education:

Degree in Telecommunication Engineering (preferred) or Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering.

Experience:

> 2 years of experience in telecommunication networks field (2G to 5G), preferred with railway operators, use of performance monitoring & troubleshooting tools for telecommunications networks, troubleshooting and root cause analysis, generation of analysis reports.

Preferred experience:

SW installation and configuration (preferred in both Windows and Linux OS) on physical machines and on VMs/Containers (preferred), IT systems troubleshooting, basic HW installation and configuration.

Languages:

Fluency in Italian and English (spoken and written).
