The Credit Expert is responsible for overseeing the commercial credit granting process at Montenegro Group. This role aims to optimize GM's payment terms on sales, reduce credit losses, and minimize the write-offs of uncollectible debts by enforcing the Credit Policy. As a Finance Business Partner for the Sales business functions, the Credit Expert ensures proactive prevention of commercial credit risk and protects GM's assets by adopting and managing appropriate financial and insurance tools.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • The Credit Expert at Montenegro Group is liable for assessing and releasing blocked orders.
  • Participates in the process of calculating provisions for doubtful debts.
  • Periodic reviews of credit limits and assigning credit scores for the entire customer portfolio assigned in Ho.Re.Ca & GDO.
  • Actively collaborates with the external accounting services firm.
  • Participates in meetings with clients, both independently and accompanying sales representatives.
  • Ensures effective resolution of all disputes related to commercial credit by continuously overseeing the activities of external law firms.
  • Collaborates daily with the Customer Service and Logistics departments, ensuring an efficient Order Management process.
  • Actively cooperates with the Sales department to ensure proper financial management of clients.
  • Supports KAM, NAM, FSM, and AM in assessing the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers.

The profile requires

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent formal writing skills and public speaking abilities.
  • Strong negotiation skills with both internal and external clients.
  • Strong collaborative spirits and a team-oriented mindset.

Technical skills:

  • Master’s degree in business administration or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a structured Credit Management department within the food & beverage sector (preferably experience in managing large retail customers and collaborating with agents).
  • Previous experience as Sales Accounting, Customer Service, or Supply Chain is preferable.
  • Knowledge of SAP, preferably including FI and SD modules; familiarity with Power BI and Salesforce is preferable.
  • Good understanding of general accounting.
  • English B2.
  • Excellent skills in Excel (preferably including management of small databases) and Office Suite.
