Project Control Engineer Freelance Contract

Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain project schedules using industry-standard tools and techniques.

· Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.

· Collaborate with project teams to collect and analyse project data, including cost, schedule, and resource information.

· Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets, considering project scope, resource requirements, and market conditions.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience as a Project Controls Engineer, Project Planner or similar role in the construction or engineering industry.

· Proficiency with project software tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex data sets.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of project dynamics and lifecycle
  • Excellent team working skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of all elements of Project Controls (Cost control, Project estimating, planning, scheduling, reporting and change)
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Self motivated, with excellent analytical skills and ability to work under own initiative
  • Strong contractual appreciation and a good understanding of typical legal parameters and restrains
  • Team Leadership skills
  • Excellent understanding and experience of the following project scopes; EPC, FEED and Detailed Design
  • A working understanding of the engineering principles involved in a typical FEED and Detailed Design

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent with extensive Project Management experience
  • Preferably Prince 2 Practitioner or APM equivalent
