Cadre organisationnel 

L’Organisation des Nations Unies pour l’alimentation et l’agriculture (FAO) contribue à la réalisation du Programme par l’intermédiaire de son Cadre stratégique en appuyant la transformation des systèmes agroalimentaires destinée à les rendre plus efficaces, plus inclusifs, plus résilients et plus durables en vue d’améliorer la production, la nutrition, l’environnement et les conditions de vie, sans laisser personne de côté.

La fonction principale des bureaux de pays de la FAO, qui sont dirigés par un(e) représentant(e) de l’Organisation, est d’aider les gouvernements à élaborer des politiques, programmes et projets afin de parvenir à la sécurité alimentaire, de réduire la faim et la malnutrition, de contribuer au développement des secteurs de l’agriculture, de la pêche et des forêts, et d’utiliser leurs ressources environnementales et naturelles d’une manière durable. 

Le/la titulaire du poste à pourvoir sera affecté(e) au Bureau du Représentant de la FAO au Bénin, à Cotonou.

Principale fonction

L’assistant(e) attaché(e) au programme s’acquitte de diverses fonctions administratives et financières courantes afin de faciliter l’exécution du programme et des projets de l’unité administrative.

Position hiérarchique

L'assistant(e) attaché(e) au programme rend compte à un ou plusieurs membres du personnel professionnel. 
Le/la titulaire agit en toute indépendance s’agissant des affaires courantes. La supervision dont il/elle fait l’objet est axée sur la qualité du travail fourni et lui permet de se former dans le cadre de ses activités.

Relations de travail 

L'assistant(e) attaché(e) au programme interagit avec divers collègues de l'unité de travail et avec des clients appartenant à l'Organisation et leur fournit des services administratifs et financiers courants.

Fonctions essentiels/Résultats 

• Recueillir et regrouper des données sur les activités relatives au programme et/ou aux projets afin de concourir à l’établissement de rapports et à l’exécution. 
• Entreprendre des tâches administratives et financières concernant la gestion du personnel, l’appui au personnel hors fonctionnaires, les voyages et les paiements, et en assurer le suivi.
• Examiner et élaborer des documents et de la correspondance dans le cadre des activités courantes d’achat qui lui sont confiées.
• Fournir des informations sur les dépenses du programme/des projets et sur la situation budgétaire du programme/des projets. 
• Traiter, mettre en forme et relire des rapports, des documents, des publications et de la correspondance en rapport avec les activités de l'unité, dès le stade des projets de texte.
• Examiner des messages, des appels et des questions et les transférer aux personnes compétentes; donner des informations générales ; répondre aux demandes courantes.
• Concourir à l’organisation de réunions, de séminaires et d’autres manifestations: s’occuper d’aspects logistiques, rédiger la correspondance, réunir et distribuer les documents, prendre les dispositions administratives.
• S’acquitter d'autres tâches qui pourraient lui être confiées.

Le travail du/de la titulaire influe sur la rapidité et l’efficacité de l’exécution du programme de l'unité de travail.


CONDITIONS MINIMALES À REMPLIR - Les candidat(e)s seront sélectionné(e)s en fonction des critèresci-après:

 
Formation : Niveau d’études équivalent à la fin du secondaire.
Expérience : Trois ans d’expérience pertinente du travail d’appui financier et/ou administratif.
Connaissances linguistiques : Connaissance pratique (niveau C) du français.
Compétences informatiques : Bonne connaissance des applications MS Office, d’internet et du matériel de bureautique.

Lieu de residence: Les agents des services généraux sont recrutés sur le plan local. Pour pouvoir être recruté(e)s à ce poste, les candidat(e)s doivent être des ressortissant(e)s du pays d’affectation ou être en possession d’un visa/permis de travail valable et habiter à proximité du lieu d’affectation au moment du dépôt de leur candidature. On entend par «à proximité» que les membres du personnel doivent pouvoir se rendre quotidiennement à leur lieu de travail depuis leur domicile.

• The length of the appointment for internal FAO candidates will be established in accordance with applicable policies pertaining to extension of appointments

• Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment, accreditation, any residency or visa requirements, and security clearances. 
• General Service Staff are recruited locally. To be eligible for this position, candidates must be nationals of the country of the duty station or possess an existing visa/work permit, and reside within commuting distance of the duty station at the time of the application."Commuting distance" means the distance within which staff members can travel daily between their place of work and their residence.
• No international benefits will be payable as selected candidates are recruited locally and paid in the local currency of the office location
