Sysmex Italia is a subsidiary of Sysmex Europe SE, specializing in health technology, specifically in vitro diagnostics.

Founded in 2008, it focused its efforts on cancer diagnosis, and have evolved and grow to the haematology sector, supporting healthcare professionals and patients around the world with a broad range of medical diagnostic products and solutions in a variety of fields.

We're looking for a Field ICS Service Engineer to oversee the seamless implementation and support of Sysmex ICS projects:

  • Providing comprehensive support throughout pre-sales processes, executing successful ICS projects, ensuring effective support for solutions, overseeing installations, and offering robust after-sales services, including system monitoring, customer support, and collaboration with field teams for updates and corrective actions
  • Build professional relationship with end-users and laboratory stakeholders
  • Perform troubleshooting both in person and remotely.
  • Execute reactive and proactive service activities at customers site and/or remotely

Job requirements

In this role you will:

Adding value during pre-sales activities

  • Collaborate with commercial functions on new tenders and business opportunities
  • Ensure support to all business areas involved in the implementation of pre-sales processes, bids, and after-sales.
  • Successfully carry out ICS projects
  • Provide effective support for all offered ICS solutions.
  • Understand and participate in the workflow within the laboratory.

Seamless implementation

  • Installation of Sysmex Software solutions and required IT hardware.
  • Provide remote access to clients during installations.
  • Coordinate and communicate with FAS regarding patient validation and its flow.
  • Establish online communication with the LIS (Laboratory Information System).
  • Provides basic IT training to end-users

Drive Customers Satisfaction

  • Plan proactive activities and regular visits to key customers
  • Monitor and document the configurations of installed systems.
  • Remote or on-site support to troubleshoot IT-related problems
  • Collaborate with FAS on workflow updates and validation tasks.
  • Collaborate with FSE on corrective actions, IT support, and software update
  • Keep lab directors informed about service deliverables and instrument status
  • Organize regular meeting with key end-user to highlight value of service
  • Report of field activities and instrument status
  • Assure that all customer-related records are up-to-date
  • Accurately record service activities on sysmex CRM
  • Assure customer satisfaction on all post-sales phases


What you need to be successful in this role:

Professional experience for the position:

3-5 years of experience in similar roles in medical device or IVD industry

Required Training

  • University degree or equivalent in IT engineering
  • Advanced certificate in electronics/IT and/or equivalent industry experience
  • Technical knowledge of electronic/IT equipment (preferably IVD)
  • Knowledge as a user of PC tools and software applications
  • Languages: fluent English.

General professional experience:

  • Knowledge of electronic and IT equipment
  • compliance with SOP's and WI's
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work under stressful situations
  • Able to proper communicate with end-users
  • Previous experience with hematology, urinalysis, and hemostasis instruments is a plus
