The product portfolio includes a wide range of microscope systems used in clinical diagnostics, medical and basic research, as well as in various industrial areas. In addition, Evident offers videoscopes, products for non-destructive testing techniques and for X-ray fluorescence analysis.
Under the supervision of the engineering supervisor, the incumbent, in collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders (mainly with the project management, as well as the project and product managers), participates in the design and construction operations of the automation integrations. In addition, he is involved in the proposal evaluation (design, hours and costs). It establishes and implements the corrective measures necessary to achieve its set objectives. He is also called upon to go on site to other countries to participate in the installation of systems.
Tasks- Analyze the application requirements of various automation technologies for machine control
- Program PLCs, frequency converters and HMIs (Siemens and Allen Bradley and/or others)
- Supervise and verify the installation, modification and testing of automation software and related hardware
- Supervise and implement automation projects
- Establish and write final test procedures for systems
- Propose and integrate developments and innovations in system automation
- Supervise, from the point of view of the technological direction, the developments on the automation platforms
- Understand the application requirements of various technologies
- Participate in the drafting of technical automation documents and manage the network filing
- Provide automation training to internal and external customers
- Participate in the design of electrical plans for the automation part
- Support the after-sales service for all problems related to automation
- Be present on site during the installations
- Perform any other related task requested by his immediate superior
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, combined with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in programming industrial and automation equipment
- Basic knowledge of robotic programming and c++/c sharp
- Knowledge of CND, ultrasound or eddy current would be an asset
- Level of English: Intermediate
- French knowledge is an asset
- Ability to manage a customer-supplier situation
- Be focused on achieving objectives and goals
